Description: Mental Health Consultant Department: Emergency Room Schedule: Contingent Part-time (0 to 40 hours per week as need) Shift: Hours: Job Details: - 1-2 yrs experience required - 3-5 years experience is preferred - Recent experience in the specialty area is required Provides psychological assessment for the immediate needs of patients in either the Emergency Department or inpatient areas, develops a care plan, arranges an appropriate disposition and completes documentation as required by AAMC. This position is scheduled as on-call. Graduation from a masters level clinical program with current licensure to diagnosis and treat mental illness in the State of Maryland. Malpractice insurance three-million/one-million per occurrence. Recommended national certification in clinical specialty (LCSW-C, RN, CS-P). One year of clinical experience with demonstrated clinical diagnostic competency.
