Division of entertainment giant based in Los Angeles seeks Finance Director to $125K! Things will be a bit chaotic at first - the website was just acquired 2 months ago Will be reporting to VP of Finance in Los Angeles 55 people in the NY office Will be overseeing all the accounting and finance in NYC Finance Director to $125K + small bonus
KEYS: Either internet or ecommerce experience OR cable / broadcasting experience Accounting, modeling, p&L, Budgeting etc - strategic initiatives etc Accounting or Finance Degree a must CPA or MBA highly preferred.
My client is looking for a talented professional to join our team as a Finance Director. This position is responsible for financial operations and serves as the primary contact for corporate administrative departments – Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, A/P, Payroll.
Responsibilities
• General Ledger reporting (statement of operations & balance sheet) • Monthly Forecasting and budget preparation (statement of operations, cash flows & capital). Variance Memos (budget, prior year & forecast comparisons & operating highlights) • Preparation of Strategic Plans. • Financial modeling of new opportunities and business trends. Profitability analysis of revenue streams and expenses • Supervision and Management of local accounting staff • IT and Employee Benefits contact • Ad Hoc financial analysis, modeling and special projects • Thorough financial understanding of internet ad sales (Site Banner Ads, Direct Mail, Newsletter & Google. • Responsible for daily & weekly pacing report. • Responsible for calculating AE commissions • Accounts receivable, billing, and payroll
Requirements
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum of five years in financial management. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices. Knowledge of Internet industry preferred. Proficiency in Excel required. Oracle/Peoplesoft , JD Edwards E1, and Doubleclick experience preferred Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Do not Miss out!
