We are currently seeking a Sales and Use Tax Manager to join us in our Montvale office.
Responsibilities: - Work with the State and Local Tax practice and tax professionals to understand their business and technical requirements - Assist with sales and transaction tax interpretations and technical tax advice to project teams - Interface with clients, project stakeholders, and team members in various phases of state and local tax technology projects - Serve as Product Manager with responsibility for product design, prioritization, and overall delivery and take a lead role in defining product direction - Identify and manage project risk factors and track and report project progress - Work with clients and other Information Technology (IT) professionals to identify and specify business requirements and processes - Help ensure scope, business justification and business requirements meet the client needs - Prepare presentations, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing business problems and defining solutions
Qualifications: - Five years of experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues - Experience in one or more of the following area of compliance: sales and use, excise, and property tax compliance - Proficient in tax research tools and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, or related field from an accredited college/university - Strong interest and aptitude for project management and technology - Effective time management skills, excellent technical writing and editing skills, and strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with clients and to develop and maintain business relationships KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
