Advisory professionals are also able to provide clients with relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking an Actuarial Services Senior Associate to join us in our Montvale office and/or other KPMG LLP office locations and client sites nationally. KPMGs Actuarial Services professionals offer business strategies to clients in the rapidly changing insurance and reinsurance industries. We also bring insight and quantitative analytic skills to non-insurance clients including healthcare companies, government agencies, self-insurers, and others. We assist clients in understanding and addressing challenges caused by competition, technology, mergers and acquisitions, globalization, increased regulatory scrutiny, and the ongoing struggle to provide greater value to stakeholders.
Responsibilities: . Provide technical support to the actuarial management group including the recalculation of actuarial values and the development, performance and review of KPMG and client work papers and analyticals . Maintain documentation files consistent with KPMG work paper requirements . Assist with project planning, the development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises . Assist with financial reporting audits or projects related to cash flow testing, DAC unlocking and enterprise risk management . Develop and project actuarial models using Tillinghast Actuarial Software (TAS) and MoSes . Perform audit and advisory projects related to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for FAS 60 and FAS 97 life insurance products . Perform audit and advisory projects related to CRVM and CARVM statutory requirements of term, UL and annuity products . Program and manipulate database applications used in support of experience studies and other data management functions Qualifications: ? Three years of experience with the following: : o U.S. GAAP for FAS 60 and 97 life insurance products o Statutory requirements (CARVM and CRVM) for term, UL and annuity products o Financial reporting, including cash flow testing, DAC unlocking, and enterprise risk management o Development of model projections using Tillinghast Actuarial Software (TAS) and MoSes. ? Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Actuarial Science, Statistics (any), Financial Analysis, Insurance, Mathematics or a related field of study plus three years of experience in the job offered or three years of related experience in a related occupation If offered employment, must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.
