Advisory professionals are also able to provide clients with relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking Associates/Senior Associates to join us in our New York City office focused on the Insurance industry. Internal Audit Regulatory and Compliance (IARC) Services professionals help organizations enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of critical in-house governance, internal audit and compliance functions. IARC professionals, focused on internal audit, help strengthen/supplement client internal audit functions across industries primarily through strategic sourcing. They also perform risk assessments and risk-based operational, financial and compliance audits of key business processes. Responsibilities for both positions: . Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution of internal audit engagements and special projects . Work on teams that are focused on compliance or advisory projects . Interact with clients to help ensure that the information flow from the client to the internal audit team is efficient . Work on-site at the client premises approximately 80-90 percent of the time . Understand and utilize KPMGs Internal Audit Methodology Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate: . Supervise staff on engagements . Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management . Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management

Qualifications for both positions: . Bachelors degree in Accounting (or equivalent) from an accredited college/university . One year of current and/or recent audit experience . Significant experience within the Insurance industry including Life, Disability or Health Insurance . Significant understanding of core operating processes including claims, premium, commissions and reinsurance within the industry and underlying financial reporting information flow and financial reporting risks related to those processes . Solid understanding of business dynamics and operations . Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint with a general understanding of data analysis techniques . Ability to travel at times with relatively short notice, and able to the work hours necessary to meet deadlines Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate: . Three years of current and/or recent audit experience . Demonstrated supervisory experience KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
