Description HPS C&Is IT Service Management (ITSM) and Infrastructure Solutions include, but are not limited to, Enterprise Systems and Network Management (HP OpenView Based) and ITIL/IT Service Management processes design and implementation services. ITSM processes include HPs ITSM Reference Model process encompassing Business to IT Alignment, Service Design and Management, Service Development and Deployment, Service Operations and Service Delivery Assurance. Some key process are Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management, Service Level Management, Operations, Release to production, Availability, Capacity, Security, Financial and Continuity Management. An ITS&IM Solutions Architect must be able to understand our clients desired end-state, translate the clients requirements relative to HPSC &Is ITS&IM Solutions, architect the solution to meet the clients needs, develop the scope of work and estimate the level of effort required for implementation. The architect owns the technical and executive client contact during detailed design and implementation to address changes in customer requirements and to ensure customer requirements are met by the delivery team.
Organization The Solution Architect reports directly to an HPS C&I Practice Principal who has primary responsibility for the consulting delivery function, however the Solution Architect provides content knowledge in support of the consulting sales function (without a direct reporting relationship to that function). The Solution Architects primary role is positioning and architecting and delivering solutions.
Performance Objectives 1. Drive Sales of ITS&IM Solutions -- A competent Solution Architect is expected to independently serve as content knowledge expert on HPCs Management Solutions with external Corporate and Enterprise Tier 1 customers. This will involve activities like proposal preparation, and development and delivery of customer presentations. In this function, a competent Solution Architect is expected to close at least 50% of qualified new leads and 75% of follow-on opportunities. A new hire is expected should achieve competency within 60-90 days. 2. Serve as Lead Architect of ITS&IM Solutions — A competent Solution Architect is expected to lead the deliver effort serving as Lead Architect on projects, and should achieve at least 60% customer billable time architecting Management solutions, in addition to their presales activities. 3. Maintain State of the Art Skills in ITS&IM Solutions — A Solution Architect is expected to take responsibility for updating their technical, consultative and business skills, including knowledge related to ITIL and Enterprise Systems Management tools.
4. Mentor Technical Consultants —Solution Architect will also have responsibility to mentor other consultants in the solution. 5. Contribute to HP IP and Knowledge. An ITS&IM Solution Architect has responsibility to ensure all collateral from pre-sales and delivery is submitted into the HPS C&I knowledge repository and is leveraging available collateral for efficient delivery.
Qualifications The person selected for this position should have at least five to seven years of increasing responsibility for positioning and delivering ITS&IM Solutions. The person needs to have a track record of successful executive interaction, consultative selling and leading the delivery of successful consulting engagements in this area. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a single scope background investigation (SSBI). EOE, M/F/D/V.
* TS/SCI with Counter-intelligence or Lifestyle Polygraph * At least 5 years of increasing responsibility for positioning and delivering ITSM Solutions. * A Bachelors degree (BA/BS) is essential with an advanced degree highly desirable. * ITIL Master’s Certification * Help Desk implementation * ITIL Process Design Skills * IT Organizational design * Management of Change * Datacenter Operations * Experience in designing and implementing Enterprise Management Solutions using one or more of the following software applications:OpenView,CAUnicenter, TivoliTNG or Novadigm
