Hello,
I don't have access to the Amiga newsgroups - this is the best newsgroup
I can find. Anyway, I've got my hands on AMUL (Amiga Multi User games
language), and I think it's an absolutely fantastic MUD (Multi User
Dungeon). I would like to know if Oliver Smith/KingFisher Software is
still developing this program, and if so how much is the new registration
fee? In the document it is 20-25 pounds (U.K). I don't want to send
money until I know it's still being supported (I've done this before and
never got anything back). Here are the modules am interested in getting
(if you have more current info, let me know):
- The latest version of AMAN, AMULCOM, AMUL, and AMULED.
- AMDAEM : AMUL Daemons. Allows you to have timed events, e.g.
when a user drinks some poison, he has five minutes
to find the cure, before he dies.
- MOBILE : Simple AI system, which allows you to create moving
creatures, which are capable (to an extent) of doing
the same things as other players. Essential on a
single user system. Requires AMDAEM.
- AMOD : Front End. [for running AMUL as a stand-alone BBS]
- AMCON : Window version of AMAN, similar to ParCon...
- AMED : Lets you edit parts of your game whilst on-line, to
help in the development process.
I have two BBS numbers. SideCar Express BBS: +6175-468-253 (Australia)
and
The CodeOMatic BBS: +44-482-449028 or +44-482-473861 for HST (MetNet
Triangle BBS)
I don't want to call long distance, though (I'm poor.. :-). If anybody
has information on AMUL and the latest developments, please send me a
reply. I'm VERY much interested in this!
Thanks for any info. Appreciated.
