still have the franchise), but because I've decided to follow up on my
warning that I would disenfranchise voters who have managed to piss off

Yes, I've seen it apply in government social services. It's the same
general idea, which applies across-the-board conceptually.
When the whole project becomes devoid of integrity and it's every person's
interest set against every other's, it definitely degenerates into a
feeding-frenzy.
The difference is that the social-services industry literally gets people
physically killed, as in buried-in-the-ground killed.
By contrast, the Usenet equivalent rarely ever gets such a result, rarely
gets *any* result FTM, and when it does, there must be other factors
assisting.
