Just wondering what you guys think of his method. The whole Maxim article and everything. Is this dude just another guy trying to screw us? $79 a month to join his "club"! And you will get a free inverter!<g> Someone other than Andy respond. Thanx.
I posted earlier today on this subject... i've done basically the same things in the past the articles state and experienced even further hair loss. Read my earlier message for more.

Here's my advice
Become a Hair Today Member Cost: $2.46 per month ($29.95 per year) Get Proscar (1.25mg day) Cost: $13.95 per month (members discount for 4 months supply 30 tabs Get 5% Minoxidl Cost: $34.95 per month from Dr Lee Drink lots of water Cost: Free Don't drink caffeine Cost: Free Relax/meditate Cost: Free Read alt.baldspot Cost: Free --------------------------------------- Monthly Total $51.36
In this way you get 2 drugs that are scientifically proven to grow hair and you can try Andy's approach. Sure stress and bad diet are causes for many health problems and may help your hair growth, but you don't have to spend money to find this out also, if you believe that gravity inversion helps you can find some invertor at a garage sale.
The concept of a "membrane" restricting blood flow to the scalp is an old and unproven theory, there is more than enough blood supply to the scalp.
"Since the article Andy has found that by using these methods combined with a natural DHT inhibitor he has dramatically increased the number of clients who demonstrate really positive results, tending to suggest that DHT has a bigger role than was evident when the article was written..."
The other thing is that Andy's "natural DHT inhibitor" has not been tested scientifically in my opinion.
I'm getting good results with Proscar/minox and predict that if it continues I will have better results than James Oldham.
Maybe I should head off to England next year :)

I do not accept that you have tried everything in this article. You have never approached me for the BANCA test or the nutritional side of the programme.
I am beginning to think that you work for a drug company and are employed to discredit anything that is not a drug - Can you confirm this for me.

I get it, it's a profit deal. But I'm still not clear on one thing. Does your $79 dollars per month include the fabulous Natural Hairs product? If not, then disregard the rest of this post. If it does, then please tell me if they still market that piece of shit product with the wonderful claim that: """"Balding/thinning people have a full head of hair growing just under their scalp. The reason they lose their hair is due to clogged follicles."""" The literature I received when I tried the product actually said that once the pores are unclogged using their product, that hairs as long as 3 inches would just pop through the scalp like a fuckin' Jack-In-the-Box. Obviously no one seems to know of any scientific or even unscientific data to back up this claim. I used it with absolutely no results. A guy I work with has used it for the past 14 months. He has actually lost about 50% of the hair he had when he started. He's still hoping for a turn -round but his chances are looking thin(some pun intended). The only thing I can say is that at the time I used it they would refund the last 4 months price when you returned the product. That part of their literature was true. I think Farrell pointed out in an earlier post, if anyone is going to compliment your regimen with a DHT blocker. Why not use the very best thing avaiable: Proscar.
its really too new for us to tell if its a scam or not, athough in my opinion it does sound a bit fishy--and is still very costly. If anyone does decide to try it please keep us posted. Hey you do get an inverter out of it-at least a rented one -you can be the envy of all your freinds: )

Umm... technically speaking (I've read the Maxim article), it doesn't list the BANCA test. That is in a whole separate article. No I haven't had a BANCA test. Then again, nobody here has even spoken about one before... all they said was drink lots of water, cut stress and caffeine and fatty foods and you'll grow tons of hair.
Don't know if you've seen my web site, but I am getting comparable results to the best on your program with medicinal treatments without completely wreaking havoc on my life style and having to take a leak so many times a day i might as well live in the bathroom :)
> I am beginning to think that you work for a drug company and are > employed to discredit anything that is not a drug - Can you confirm > this for me.
Hehehe... I've been on this newsgroup quite a while... people no me, and character assissination won't work. I'm a programmer. Actually, I DO work for a drug company though. A veterinary science company. We make primarily vaccine products for farm animals. Is that what you were thinking? hehehehe. The name of the company is Diamond Animal Health, and I doubt you've ever heard of them since most of their products are sold under other names and not their own (plus you'd probably have to own a farm to need their products anyway, although we are coming out with new feline and canine products). So no I don't work for a drug company... but from what I've seen, YOU run a club where people pay you $80 a month so you can tell them to drink water and cut stress. That sounds unbiased.
By the way, I run my web site (http://www.regrowth.com) for free to all with as much information about hair loss and treatments as I can find, even ones I have no doubt do not work. That's why I was offering to post the article if someone sent it to me. My goal has always been to get information out to as many people as possible, even if it's not the information I think is right for most people, as long as it helps some I'm happy for them.
For the record, I didn't say the maxim article stuff doesn't work... I just said I doubt it works for most people, and the main part of it didn't work for me. I also think the article was overblown as far as it's effect. Out of 500 people, James Oldham's hair was the best, and his was no better than a good Proscar/Minoxidil responder.

scam or not, the *best* person's results were no better than a good Proscar/minox responder. Your chances of growing hair are more likely with this combination, which costs much less than a membership in that hair club.

Just an FYI to the peeps out there... you don't need to be a hairtoday member to get that price for Dr. Lee's minoxidil... in fact you can get it for around $32/mo if you buy it in 4 mo. quantities.

Agreed. :)

Not just unproven, but DISPROVEN. As Dr. P said previously, there are many situations in which thsi membrane for one reason or another has to be removed. In these patients, they don't get hair regrowth and recent studies prove that blood flow to the scalp is the SAME in balding and non-balding men.

Also, this 'natural DHT inhibitor' is Saw Palmetto, which you can buy in any grocery/health store without paying $80 a month to find out :)

Ditto. My hairline has moved more than 2 cm forward. It is not as thick as regular hair yet, but it's getting closer every month.
PS - I have a better head of hair than James Oldham, too. Then again, I started in better condition. However, Farrel started in worse condition than James Oldham, and I think if his results continue as they should, he will grow more hair than Oldham, too.
Maybe we'll both go to england next year. After all, the article said regrown hair without surgery, not without drugs. As for this earth shattering event, I never heard of it before and nobody other than anybody who's read the maxim article has either.
Hi. I was the guy who originally posted info regarding the Maxim article. I bought absolutely nothing beyond the copy of the magazine. Since late January, I managed to grow back enough hair that I went from 45% density to at least 75% using only a composite of the methods discussed in the article. Trust me though when I say that it requires alot of self discipline. I drank 3 cups of coffee everday for 21 years and then stopped cold and that was just the beginning. Right now I'm so glad that I went through the trouble. I feel healthier than I have in years, and I get the biggest kick out of people who I haven't seen in a few months asking me what the hell I've been doing to grow back so much hair. I simply explain about the information in the article. I urge you to give it a fair try.
Personally, as I mentioned over a week ago, I didn't think James Oldham grew the most hair, but I think it's undeniable thatAnthony Leonard, the 60 year old security guard's results were extraordinary enough to convert anyone. ..again I need to state, that I have absolutely no problem with marinating my head in any chemical whatsoever; It's just that I have never had ANYTHING work for me as well as and as fast as the methods described in the article....and one more time, I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING BEYOND THE COPY OF THE MAGAZINE!
I believe you, but where is the rest of the article... you don't get to see anthony leonard's results? It seems like a lot of the article is missing and only the parts that promot NHP are posted.

But James Oldham, NOT Anthony Leonard won the contest anyways! So unless you are one of the judges....

Now WAIT JUST A SECOND! Didn't you just claim that you also use 2% minoxidil 3 x per day? Certainly this drug was NOT mentioned as being part of the Bryant program. You just can't have it both ways Dave's Dad.
> o.k. so i stop drinking my french roast in the morning. start drinking a > lot of water and reduce stress in my life. give up proscar and minox(that > actually are producing results) AS IF! i am not sure that the finasteride > does'nt have a synergistic effect with the coffee and all the > stress.however i might try it if i go insane as well as bald. but probably > not. > alt.baldspot
I don't think it is anywhere near as easy to get proscar in England as it is here. This might explain a lot.
Ed, Dave's Dad did not say that he was only using Andy's program...not once. He just read the article and tried some of the stuff listed. Yes, he is using minoxidil and anyone who wanted to try something like this juice and inversion thing should remember that before they throw out all their meds, but I don't think it is fair to act as tho Dave's Dad here and Andy are promoting the same thing.
Basically his main ideas are about 90% based on the contents of a book called the 'Natural Cure To Baldness' which was being sold in England about 4 years ago. In particular the stuff about de-stressing and inversion. I don't know who had the idea first on this, Andy Bryant or D. Tubb, the guy who wrote the other book. But the Tubb book appeared first although AFAIK it didn't sell through retailers but only mail order. But it was advertised widely in the national press.
Plenty of men (say up to about 5-10%) don't gold bald at any age...and they do it without hanging upside down. Genes rool OK.
