Anyone able to tell me which .exe in Retrospect launches the backup process? I am trying to set it up in Vista to launch from the task scheduler so that the computer can be awakened at night. Hello I use Veritas Backup exec 10d. I conmsider situation when my servers will be totaly destroyed. I know that I able to recover system and all data with IDR whan new server will be exacly like old one. Hey I had an exchange account at one point and have since removed it. I am now getting a request from my boss to recover an email box of a user that is no longer with the company and who didn't get transitioned from exchange to our new system. Is anyone using Paragon Drive Backup 9.0 Personal? I am interested in it for image backups and drive cloning in case of a full failure. I am not comfortable with Acronis 11 because of the many bugs, bad backups, non-verifies etc, that keep being reported. I am not interested in Ghost 14 because of bloat.... more »

how to copy all Windows 2000 partition, including system fil

I crave to backup all of a Windows 2000 partition. It is formatted FAT32, so I could use an XCOPY type program, but there are about a dozen files that Windows 2000 won't open, because they are in use (e.g. NTUSER.DAT, SYSTEM.ALT) I recall under Windows 95/98 that you could copy everything without this restriction.... more »

I seek a program which will clone a disk to a USB disk - i.e. make a copy of directories and files, not write to some proprietary archive format.
