I can't find any reputable source which says that the new recommendation
(age 50) came from an Obama political appointee. All news sources including
Faux say the recommendation came from a group of medical professionals. Show
your source. Maybe your source contains the real story.

A group that does "not have a single oncologist among it members," according
to reports in the media, Joe$#itForBrains.

What IS important is this is a precursor to what will happen if BO and the
Dims in Congress are allowed to take over our healthcare.

Guys like you, Joe$#itForBrains, should be concerned that the bill before
the Senate which will take $400,000,000 OUT of Medicare, and add Trillions

Never mind. Disregard this post. It references Fox News, and everyone
knows they'll do anything they can to stop Obama's Health Care Train.

Who cares if there wasn't a single Oncologist on the board? They have

posting about that in newsgroups?

The actual point here is that dumberthanu (aka "dbu") thinks the person who
made the announcement also did the research to back up the announcement. Of
course, that's just plain silly, but what else should we expect from a boy

The remark was not directed toward you. As to smoke out of his ass, Dooby
could use an enema to get his back in the land of fresh air and clear
thinking.

Besides, Smoke enemas were a popular remedy in the !800's, which should make
Dooby comfortable, ensconced in the "Good Old Days".

Subject line: Former NIH Chief: Ignore Gov Mammography Recommendation

Within the message:

"This is recommendation from a REAL Dr. of medicine NOT an obama

I want to know who you were referring to when you described "an obama
political mouthpiece appointee". In other words, please provide the first
and last name of a person.

Was she in what all competent doctors call the "high risk group"?

And by the way, when it comes to epidemiology, the LAST person you'd want
crunching the numbers would be an oncologist, brain surgeon, internist,
pediatrician, ob/gyn, nurse, etc. They're not trained for that sort of work.
They might read articles, but it's not their job, really.

But you knew that, right?

They were all Bush appointees. Dig a little deeper. The panel's
chairperson states that Dubya appointed all the members.

"But Ned Calonge, who chairs the 16-member panel, defended the
recommendations and denied that cost or the debate over health-care
reform played any role in the decision. "Cost just isn't a
consideration when the task force deliberates," said Calonge, who is
also the chief medical officer for the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment. Twelve of the task force members were seated
during the Bush administration, and the remaining four were chosen
before President George W. Bush left office, he said."

"But critics note that under legislation pending in Congress, the
panel's guidelines could be used to set standards for what insurance
companies would be required to cover. And although the latest research
was started long before the most recent health-care debate began, the
timing of Monday's announcement led many opponents to speculate that
the two are related."

Directly no, but it is a clear indication of what will happen if we ever
allow BO and Dims in Congress to get control of our healthcare system.
Bureaucrats will determine what procedures you will get rather than your
doctor. Look at what they have planned for Medicare in the goofy bill.
It will take $400,000,000 from Medicare, which is currently headed for
bankruptcy and use it to help "fund" the new bill.

You will be required to buy health insurance, like auto insurance. If you
do NOT you will have 2 1/2% added to you income tax. If you still do not
buy insurance you can be sent to prison for FIVE years. If you doubt that
look it up, that what is in the bill passed by the House
