What would you be doing or saying differently than Obama to not make
an ass of yourself, as you claim he is doing in this situation?
I dunno, but let's see where the stock market ends today...
If it ends down, will it have been because of what Obama did today?
Nice to see he has time to talk about pies, his iPod and the NBA while
467,000 more people lost their jobs...
Every time he speaks publicly, the market falls.
I'd like to test that. Do you have a list of days that he has
"spoken"?
Check for any days the markets were down.
I told this to my Mom and she said, Sure, sure.
Then one day she said, You know, you're right!
> LOL, did you see where he admitted that Michelle Bozama is getting

Or Hillary's

Your iPod say "Made in China", by any chance?

and Obama is driving this nation to the stupidity of Soviet Russia. What a
hypocrite!!!!!!Hail Obama (as we goose step to his mighty image)!
I figured since he made the claim that he may have a list already
prepared.
That's a horrible method. Did you also check days that it was up, and
see if he spoke those days as well?
You could check days that it rained, and see if he spoke those days
too. Would that mean that he caused it to rain?
Secondly, let's just say that if I checked days the market was down
and he tended to speak those days and, again here is the vital other
half of that... checked days it was up and found he that he tended to
not speak those days. Couldn't that also be explained by the
possibility that the thing that caused him to speak was the thing that
caused the market to go down?
EX: North Korea fires a missile. Obama comes out and makes some
comments on it. Market goes down. You would assume it was the
speaking that did it, right?

In fairness you should explain to her the fundamental flaw in the
method as you've describe it.
He isn't doing that.
But as far as the admissions he HAS made...you should know that he
isn't telling anyone anything they didn't already know.
Do you think when he referred to the Iraq war as a 'war of choice'
that anyone, anywhere on this earth outside of the US, said "It was??
I didn't know that!"
No. They were impressed that the American President actually
acknowledged that fact.
It's like with you in this NG when there is a mountain of evidence
that says you're wrong, and none that says you're right, and you could
choose either of the following options:
a) admit you're wrong
b) pretend you're right, even though everyone knows you're wrong (and
also knows that YOU know you're wrong).
For some reason your philosophy is to go with 'b'. And obviously
that's the Bush / Cheney philosophy as well.
But some think that 'a' is better. Sorry you don't like it.

Every time he makes a speech the market drops. Sometimes only by a few
points.
The other day it was almost 300.
But did you check days that it was up, and see if he spoke those days
as well?
If you do, you'll see he spoke days it was up too.
I checked for June, and the only weekday he didn't speak was the
10th. The market went down that day.
Should I conclude that on days he doesn't speak the market goes down?
Bottom line: he speaks virtually every weekday, so it's nonsense to
try to link his speeches to any market changes- up or down.
All I know is, every time he makes a major speech, the market drops. If he
tells us how bad things are, the market drops. If he tells us things are
getting better, the market drops. If he tells us what he's going to do to
fix things, the market tanks.
I don't mean just the appearences he makes on the National Barack Channel,
I mean the major 'news' or policy announcements. Every time he makes a
major speech, it's time to sell.
This should have been apparent on Jan 21. The market typically rises on
Inauguration Day...

OK, there we have it then.

In fairness, the country isn't usually in shambles on Inauguration
Day.

Yeah, but there's usually a bounce no matter what.
