It's back! Cut & run. Let's see if any of you Palin worshippers see the
irony in this statement:

"Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the
conventional 'Lame Duck' status in this particular climate would just be
another dose of 'politics as usual,' something I campaigned against and will
always oppose."

Embrace lame duck status??? It's part of the friggin' job she agreed to do.
If she's elected president, will she resign near the end of her term to
avoid "convential lame duck status"???

Conservative columnist George Will said it best:

"Be that as it may, the one [reason] that rings most hollow is that she
doesn't want to put Alaska through the terror of having a lame duck
governor. If she is just weary of it, one can understand that. Still, she
made a contract with them to serve out her term, and she said -- in her own
words -- she now is a quitter."

From Ed Morissey:

"Politicians don't enter lame-duck status until their successor has already
been elected and they're running out the rest of the term. And all
politicians become lame ducks at some point - and none of them quit just to
avoid it."

Poor Sarah. The job gets harder near the end of her term, so she quits.

This situation has a really bad stink to it.

She didn't say that, did she? So basically what she's saying is
that by abandoning her post she's being a maverick?

"Usually, Governor's finish their jobs. But not me! Oh, nooo. That
would just be doing what others do! And, oooh, I'm a Maverick! You
betcha!"

Is anyone actually falling for this horse shit? Please tell me they
aren't.

For every action there is a reaction, and she looks like she lost to
much weight. I'm worried come moose season when she fires the old moose
gun she's gonna get knocked on her arse. Karen Carpenter had to give up
moose hunting near the end you know.....

Oh, but they are. This from a June 8 article in People magazine, so it's
obviously before Palin quit. But the same people will twist her cut & run
thing into something they can fawn over.

"Palin, in a black and white layered skirt and a black sweater set, arrived
to a cheering crowd, and spoke to a group of women who had yelled for her to
stop for a chat. "We loved her. She thanked us," said Deanna Varricchio, of
Smithtown, and a member of the Smithtown Republican Woman's Club. "It's
wonderful that she's here. She's a beautiful person.""

She really has no idea what her own words mean. In this video, she implies
that it would be a waste of taxpayer money if she remained in office. I
guess she's not worth the money. There's also some gibberish here about
soldiers. I think she's chumming. Throwing a wide assortment of ground-up
stuff into the water so there's something for every idiot to nibble on, even
though none of it fits a coherent meal.

As someone who has only the utmost respect for women of intelligence
and integrity, let me say this: Sarah Palin should shut up and pose
for Playboy while she still looks hot.

This is just speculation, but what if she is seeking a Senate seat or
other National elected office?

We had our fair share right here. Dukakis running for President while the
state was sinking in a quagmire of red tape and under funding, and him
sticking his head out of a tank like a high-tech Whack-A-Mole.

Kerry did the same thing. The only thing he accomplished while running for
President was to have a fire hydrant moved from in front of his home.

And the current POTUS spent more time running for President than he did as
Senator from Illinois. He could have quit, but then he would have had NO
experience in Federal government.

Why don't we just wait and see what the deal is before we condemn?

Oh. I forgot. You're a Liberal. Ooops, sorry...

I find it very strange that the left is still afraid of a person seven month
after her running mate lost the election, a woman who they told us during
the campaign was incompetent to be VP yet she had as much foreign affairs
experience and 100% MORE Executive Experience, than THEIR Presidential
candidate.

Hell most voters do not even remember the names of former Presidential
candidates that lost , let alone the name of the VP running mate.

Why is that, if what they said about her was true? Why are they so afraid
of this woman when all they had to do was let her fad away to history like
most other losers, if what they said about her was true? ;)

Who's telling you to think anyone is afraid of Palin? It's being repeated in

central source. Oh wait - the head of your party is on the radio right now,

I read important news on the day it happens, often within minutes of it
happening. You plant your fat ass in front of the TV and gobble up whatever
the media shoves down your throat. So, I don't obsess about stuff like you

No, she lost the election for him because better-educated and non-
extremist voters were offended by her stupidity and ignorance.

She had zero foreign affairs experience and, more importantly, zero
understanding of foreign affairs.

You're saying she had zero executive experience.

Jack Kemp was the running mate of the first presidential candidate I
voted for, Bob Dole.

Nobody is afraid of Palin except her Alaskan political enemies, which
include many members of the Republican party. She has no party
loyalty, only loyalty to herself. But Palin is a hoot as a psycho
politician with absolute faith in her nonexistent abilities, sort of
like Kathleen Harris of Florida, only without he butta face. Let's go
to the video tape:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxAO7cH-xrE

If Palin wasn't stupid, why did SNL use one of her wacky, rambling
replies verbatim?

You said there's nothing in between TV news and online blogs. Since you
disapprove of blogs, some of which are actually useful, that means you have
nothing left but TV news, since you said there is no alternative in between
TV news and blogs.

All television shoves crap down your throat. Since you don't believe in
blogs, you have nothing left but TV. Logically, all the information you
consume is shoved down your throat.

TV news feeds you what they want to feed you, in an order chosen by the
broadcaster. If you want more depth to a story, you have to go elsewhere,
probably not another TV show. This means newspapers or the internet. You may
find more depth from BBC, but you still have to wait to get it, unless you
get lucky and what you want happens to be there just as you tune in.
Otherwise, you waste time waiting for something which may never appear.

For how long is the TV on in your house every day?
