Hello all -

I've seen Smart Service, Inc.'s web page and wonder if anyone has had work
done by them and what do you think? They're on Lake Ballinger Way in what I
call Mountlake Terrace but it looks like their address is Shoreline.

Don't know anything about them, but I totally trust Superior Subaru in Burien,
They're not the cheapest but they are perfectionists and are 100% non-BS.
I would strongly avoid Suburb Service Inc (formerly Subarus Only) . They told
me my car was a piece of cr*p and needed a bunch of work and I may as well
scrap it. That was 55,00 miles ago. Also they told me I needed a new
alternator, then I fixed the problem myself by paying 60 cents for a new piece
of metal to connect the wire to the alternator.
I've heard people trust Andy's on Aurora / 80th, but don't know much about
them.
Checking the Better Business Bureau report is a good idea.

I've used them for information once (kind of a late day emergency, good
advice for free) and then for a timing change replacement recently. I had
done a lot of the work myself for the 60K service and they did exactly what
I wanted. Once inside the engine they later called with specific information
about suggested work (mostly some seals around the timing chain area) and
prices. Work done on time at what appears to be competitive prices. Clean
shop, and the owner, Mike Corbin, has a long history of working on Subaru's.

They are on Ballinger Way, right of the 205th/Edmonds I-5 exit and to the
east (south side of the street) a couple of hundred yards.
