While I have no idea who spray king is, after having my car vandalized I went
to a top quality body shop, one that does the expensive imports. Yes it took
almost forever for him do do it, but the results are great. If you want a good
job and money is not a question, try and locate a good body shop in your area.
Back in the 50's all over the country was a company called Earl Shieb. Any Car,
Any Color, In by 9, out by 5, $19.95, now itsa bit more but if you do all the
masking and body work try and find a chain, which I guess Spray King is. A few
fellows here did there own masking and took their cars to Macco back in the
80's, and thier cars still look great.

Maaco does a pretty good job actually--I saw a show worthy pick up they dd and
frankly-i didnt believe it was done by a chain shop
And I saw a 37 Stude at a cruise the other night that had some wavy bodywork
-- but great paint and the guy told me it was an Earl Sheib paint job.over his
bodywork. He gave them extra money to get a really good job
I have thougt many times that an original looking paint job on a Stude would
be a Maaco type job rather than a* piece of glass* look
Very correct, but those Macco type jobs can be buffed out to look like glass.
In 1962 my cousin got this Chevy Impala with a 427 ant extra carbs. He spent
weeks with corn starch and a buffing wheel till the paint looked like glass.
Robins leased car has an extremely glossy paint job, that looks like glass, my
leased car, is all orange peel on the side, smae company....I guess it depends
on how they set the nozzels.
.....or what day of the week it was produced on, or if the painter got
some the night before, or........
