I haven't ever heard of any Studebaker made boats. Is this just a similarly
named company? Welded aluminum must have been a pretty high tech boat back
then Studebaker or not. It would look nice pulled behind a truck with a
polished up canopy wouldn't it?

Don't know about the authenticity of that example but can state that at
least one major boat manufacturer in the 1960's used Studebaker rear
window glass for windshields... Glastron I think was one.

I have a Studebaker pontoon boat. They were made by the Studebakers in
Topeka Kansas in the 60's. There were quite a few of the boats at The
Lake of the Ozarks up until 10 or 15 years ago. The quality of the
boats are very good and the ones I have seen are still in good shape.
I haven't seen any other pontoons... Has any one on the newsgroup got
one? Does anyone know Gary Studebaker of Topeka? I think it was Gary's
folks that built the boats.
