Is there anything besides the vents on the passenger door to help drain it of water?

looked into this some more - there are other posts on similar if not
identical problems to mine, e.g:

or search for battery tray train rear passenger....

anyways, i discovered today that both doors have a small slot on the
bottom edge in the front corner of the door - outside the seal - which
is apparently designed to (what else) drain water that inevitably
collects in the door. If clogged, in my case, the water rises up to
the hinge and comes out there -- then collects in the edge of the door-
body area and somehow gets in the rear footwell and not the front
footwell.

the water in my case was mostly coming from the seal which had warped
around the window, making a clear path into the door. however, it is
not clear to me the consequence of the way the water drains down the
(presumably clear and intact) battery compartment or along the door.

also, its not clear if any other drain ports are on the door.

just a couple more notes here FWIW :

the car is tilted slightly upward from rear to front.

the door might have an additional drain slot at the back.

also - water is clearly coming out from behind the inside door
paneling, mostly near the rear.

there are drain slots at front and rear with rubber flaps to keep dust
out - make sure they are open
