I have a 406 diesel estate on a 52 plate which needs a computer reset could
anyone tell how much this is likely to cost at a Pug agent

Thank you

Bryan

A phone call?

Thanks Charlie. I have to disconnect the battery every time I stop because
the display stays on when I remove the ignition key, when I start the engine
I get every warning sign in the book and then they eventually go of. The
inbuilt sat nav tells me I'm anywhere but where I am, the car runs perfectly
so I am thinking the computer needs a reset. Thank you Bob I did realise
that I could make a phone call but I would rather hear from Pug owners
before I tackle a Pug agent.

To be honest, I have used this group continuously since 2003 and have never
seen anything concerning computer resets so I think it unlikely that you
will get a meaningful response. The only possibility is Nigel who is, I
believe, a Peugeot mechanic but I have not seen a post from him for some
time. I think you will have to bite the bullet and approach an agent for a
price. It would be very useful for any future poster with a similar
problem if you would come back and add the outcome of your problem to this
thread. Good luck.

Thank you Tinkerer I think you are right, I will ring the Pug agent tomorrow
and report back once I have recovered from the shock.

It may also be worth looking for a Pug/Citroen specialist. They're often a
lot (and I really mean a lot) cheaper.

Is Poole too far for you?

There is an independent in Romsey as well. There should be lots around,
normally set up by disgruntled Pug trained technicians.
