Porsche did exactly this on the 908, but for very different reasons. The
tubular frame was prone to cracking, so they pressurised it and checked
with it using a tyre pressure gauge. Low or no pressure meant a crack
had developed somewhere.......

ok the one and most pro of the kitcars is that insurence is hella cheaper...
lol another is the car itself is usually alot cheaper... then a production
made car.. as for the donor car and ur thoughts of the upholsstry and etc...
it depends on the donor car u buy and the kit u buy and if it comes with

No idea why this old thread was revived and, FWIW, the kit I was originally
enquirling about was not a caterham.
