Subject: Honda Tech Needed!!
I'm looking for a Honda tech (or someone who HAS done this before). I
picked up a '81 Prelude for my son and I have to pull the intake
manifold on it. I've got all the nuts off except the 2 middle lower
nuts. I can see them, but I can't seem to get to them. Any help or tips
sure would be appreciated. If you can, please respond here and to
knuckle_ride...@hotmail.com  Thanks in advance, Timm ..................

Go at it from the bottom.  You'll likely need a couple of odd shaped wrenches
such as an "S" shaped box end wrench and perhaps a "4-way" angle wrench.  Here
are some examples... (I hope that these links don't wrap too badly).  Note that
other more standard wrenches will likely be helpful when used in combination
with these.   Be creative.

Thanks for the info Eric. If I don't get it today, I'll have to hit up my Snap-On dealer on Monday. Just one more question though ...... can it be done from up above, or are you saying to go from under the car???? Thanks again, Timm .......

Yes, from under the car.  It might be easier if you put the car up on a hoist so
you can stand under it.  However, if you don't have one available, then a floor
jack and stands will likely work out all right.

Thanks, Eric ... I jacked up the car and got it from underneath. I only had a
straight 12mm combo, but was able to get at it after taking off the exhaust brace.
It was a little slow going though ......... Thanks for your help .. Timm .........
