Hello, I have a 92 Dodge Turbo Diesel. Recently we
have had to have the
tranny rebuilt at a location that is not close to
here. After
it was in my wife drove it and it wouldn't go into
overdrive, we took it
back to the shop and they checked it out and said that
the Throttle
Positioning Sensor was ok, (which was likely the
problem) so she took it
and had no problems until about 1000 miles later, then
it went in
sporadically for long time, then it wouldn't go into
overdrive at all
and hasn't since. Also, the shop that "fixed" it said
that the wire
that goes from the module up by the battery to the
transmission by the
spedo cable was shorted so he 'bypassed' it. So my
question(s) are is
there anyplace inline from the module to the
transmission that this wire
should be hooked up to, also, could the wrong size
wire be causing my
problems? Also,
is what that wire is hooked to with the spedo cable
the Throttle
Positioning Sensor. I think I know where i can get
one way cheaper than
the dealer and have no problems doing this myself if
it is within my
ability. Any and all advice is appreciated and thanx
in advance.

ps. does anyone know where i can get a service manual
for these?
