Subject: WESTERN DIESEL CUMMINS ENGINE MODULE
Western Diesel has an engine module for the Dodge Cummins Diesel for
695.00. It is supposed to boost hp by 65 and torque by 185lbs. Has
anyone used this product or similar one? I am concerned about
reliability of the auto transmission when towing. The guy at western
Diesel strongly recommended that I go a transmission shop and have a
shift kit installed or raise line pressure. Any comments elcomed.

Leave shit alone. That engine has plenty of power I am sure for your uses as
it came from the factory. If you are suffering from power loss with the
stock truck running correctly, then it is overloaded.

You should check out www.turbodieselregister.com

You'll find a bunch of info regarding waking up the Cummins.

You can go for the Power Edge EZ and it'll cost your more than $100.00 less
and get the same power.  For that price, you can get the PE Comp and get A
LOT more power than that.  Once you've done that and have gauges and clutch
or TC / VB, then you can get a set of injectors and really wake her up.

Here is a short article on the EZ:

It's called BOMBing and just like people modify their v8 gassers for more
power (which equals more fun), we do the same to our Cummins engines.  Has
nothing to do with being overloaded, it has to do with more power.  :)  It
also makes towing that much more of a dream.

I cannot disagree with you on that one.  I'm doing injectors next, then a
full DTT tranny.  Gonna be fun :)
