Presently I have only about 20% of the original paint to go by but with so
much surface rust, I'm going to have to take it down to bare metal..
I have identified the paint color name but I'm afraid that if I ask it to be
mixed, I will end up with a show sheen rather than what I remember from the
'30s- '40s.
I guess, what I would want to do is flatten the paint and then find someway
to induce a weathered appearance.
This truck is going to be a 'driver' not a competition show vehicle.
Any ideas or thoughts??

Sounds reasonable.. I'll mention it to the paint vendor when I order it
mixed..
I'll be painting it myself and knowing my usual results, It ain't gonna have
a show room finish.. But, like I say, "it's only a truck, not a work of
art"..
