Lab Gruppen introduces 1RU IPD series amplifier
[link] Finally... I've been wondering when we'd see this for some time. The size reduction is nice, as is the FIR filter addition. Now if they can just bring out a 4 channel version like Powersoft, you'd see even more of these in biamped monitor wedge amp racks and/or FOH amp... more »

Powersoft M-Force...
Looks interesting, although I suspect the claim of how innovative it is. Sounds rather similar in concept to what drives a ServoDrive BT-7, only with an ampflifier built in, no? [link] -- MFB

Has anyone here used Behringer digital mixers?
If so, any thoughts, opinions, impressions? I'm looking to go digital for a club band currently using 24 inputs on an analog system. I'm trying to decide between Behringer or Soundcraft's si series stuff.... more »

Wireless Battery Speaker Systems
We had a little gig on Friday where my bass player went into the venue first and started setting up while I was still unloading. Before I got in there the bass player had already agreed with the venue owner,s request to put one on of my main speakers outside of the building to draw people into the venue. As the bass player had already agreed... more »

Paul Simon concert
Great gig in Auckland (NZ) last week. But a few songs, especially near the start, possibly sufferred from too many instruments playing at time - or the mixing had too many up too far. Bass was ok. Well the bass 3 solos. But other than that Bakithi Kumalo could have been playing anything - notes indistuingishable - just a boom boom boom ;-(... more »
