Gee, sounds like a real hoot.
K.
Well lets see, if he was playing the bass he had his one hand on the
finger board and one hand picking the strings.
That leaves a foot for bass kick. If he was realy playing, he was using
his third appendage to hold a stick, and gaff taped a drum stick to it.
You cum up with the Utube on that one, i want to see it.....

I did monitors for the Avett Brothers a while back. One member
played string instruments, and had a kick drum he played simultaneously.
Another played string inst, and a hi hat. Very energetic and entertaining
group. They really kept their guitar tech busy swapping out gits, banjo,
mando, etc, etc. and replacing many broken strings. Sort of a punk version
of bluegrass is the only way to describe them. And I really don't care for
bluegrass, usually.

Knew a guy who played numerous instruments, none well. A regular one man
bland...
He could play simple bass lines with one hand using a hammer-on pull-off
technique leaving a hand free for a drum stick.
Stick a broom up his arse and he could sweep the floor at the same time !
geoff
I can't do that.

Its probably a Brit thing
Now THAT would be some real talent.
K.
I could, but It might result in a crushed sausage issue. You see, us
Krooburgs are well endowed ;-)

I think that would constitute just plain showing off.

sometimes fingerboard and sometimes not. Feet for kick drum and high hat
and other hand either snare, tom or cymbals. Occasionally moving to finger
board or both hands on drums, depending on the passage.

His momma told him he could really "clean up" in show biz...
Used to be a guy on the UK folk scene -- can't remember his name -- who
played electric bass and concertina.
Not at the same time, so what's special about that I hear you ask?
Well, he only had one hand...
Merry Xmas all!
