Anyway, I ordered some replacement cables and adaptors from Mark & Liz of
Audiopile Dist:
http://www.audiopile.net/
and Mark said he was throwing in "a few extra" adapters. Very cool.
I opened the package yesterday, and found * a ton * of extra adapters and
transformers, stuff I didn't have before as well as practically everything I
had! I just kept pulling stuff out of the bags and saying oh-my-god. It was a
$100 order, and he "threw in" another ~$100 worth of audio goodies, those "yes,
I can connect up your left-handed widget to the PA three minutes before
showtime" life-savers.
They ( and the members of a couple of the bands I work with) have restored my
faith in my fellow humans, which had taken a bit of a beating. Thanks again!
Needless to say, they have a customer for life. Fyi, I've disassembled some of
their stuff - looks good: soldering, assembly, etc.

How much did they pay you to post that?
Seems strange that a new poster should come on here and make a post like
that having not posted here before. If it were from a regular I would be
inclined to believe it but not from a first-time poster.

While Susan may be a first time poster here on AAPLS, Mark from
Audiopile used to post here in the past, which is how I found
Audiopile.
I have purchased from them as well and found them to be top notch
people. Mark even took the time to respond to a lot of my emails when
I was setting up my live/recording rig (and this was before I was a
customer)
So yes, 2 thumbs up to Mark and Liz from me as well.

I'm getting cynical in my old age.
Phildo
I was OK with the rack (insurance), pissed about the clothes and lack of
deodorant but completely irate about the briefcase. It contained a shitload
of adaptors that I made over the years. It also had a lot of memorabilia in
there.
I could never replace all the adaptors as I don't even know what there was,
but rest assured I could adapt a Mackie to an elephants ass (I hear they
have that interface built in now) I swear If I see somebody carrying that
case to this day I will be much less than polite weather they stole it or
not!
