Annoying, I just wrote a fairly long piece on discussions I had about
Mitt Romney with friends last night, and then Topix.com lost it...

I'll retype it later, but will toss that angle on the topic out now,
and when I return I'll add my take on it...

Anyone game?

My opinion, and the opinion of the several friends I spoke with last
night both liberal and conservative agree that unless something
drastic happens soon, by this time next year Mitt Romeny will be in
the White House.

Discuss.

(a) Political experts say that a Republican would have to earn at
least 30% of the Latino vote to win the White House.

(b) Fox News Latino Vote
2/10-2/25

Obama: 69% - Santorum: 14%
Obama: 70% - Romney: 14%
Obama: 72% - Gingrich: 14%

The current administration certainly hasn't done much for reform
beyond admit they've smoked weed, but at least that's a step in the
right direction. I don't see how we can support somebody with even
less real life, first hand cannabis experience. Obama smoked pot and
grew up to become the first non-white President of the United States.
Because of pot or despite pot is irrelevant to the simple fact that
pot existed in the context of the man's life experience, and he
succeeded. We hold our Presidents to exceptional standards, and
cannabis use is part of the life experience of Barack and Michelle
Obama. Like all parents, they're struggling with how to expose their
kids to Drugs, and the truth about their individual use of them. The
country is experiencing the same generational struggle with the same
question.

Hard to believe /anyone/ from my, and Obama's, generation hasn't
smoked pot at some point.

It's hard for a lot of our friends to believe I don't smoke pot at
all. I don't care if anybody else does though, obviously. Both Corey
and my son do.

Angel still smokes cigarettes, and I'm a tattle tale.

I lit a cigarette for Sandy & handed it to her the other night while

Lit with a wooden match, even... that rich smell and flavor, tobacco,

Wow, two & a half years since my last cigarette & I admit I still love
'em!

Unless anything drastic happens, Obama will be back. He'll be running against
Romney. No one is excited about Mitt, which is why we've had so many
Republicans du jour, not that anyone was excited about them either.
