To the religious loonies, anything getting in the way of imposing
their agenda is "dangerous to America".

Even live-and-let-live.

The believe that doing what their pretend friend doesn't like, caused
it to punish the world with Noah's flood.

And that if they don't make everybody else behave they way they
imagine it wants, it will do it again.

Which makes it easy for a dishonest and unethical political party to
get their vote by a mixture of pandering to them and persuading them
that God doesn't like the things their corporate backers don't want.
