Ex-priest won't be living in Santa Fe
By T.J. Aulds

The Daily News

Published April 28, 2010

SANTA FE - A former priest convicted of 34 counts of child molestation and
child pornography possession won't be staying in Santa Fe, but people
elsewhere might never know whether he's living next door.

Gilbert John Gauthe, 64, was released from the Galveston County Jail on
Friday after serving a two-year sentence for failing to register as a sex
offender. The former Roman Catholic priest admitted to sexually abusing 11
boys in Louisiana two decades ago, authorities said.

Gauthe was supposed to move in with a friend in Santa Fe, and his address is
listed on the Texas Department of Public Safety's sex offender registry, but
after word got out he decided to move elsewhere, Galveston County Sheriff's
Office spokesman Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo said.

He was convicted on 34 counts of child molestation and possession of child
pornography. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison but was released after
nine years for good behavior, court records show.

All known to the catholic church and they did nothing to stop him.

How deeply, deeply sad. It is a worthy analogy of how sin disfigures our
minds and souls and seperates us from the love of God. The tragedy is how
far he fell from grace! For most of us, we neither start so close to God,
nor end so far - but my Lord, what a fall!

Please do, live your faith and leave society laws alone so that people
do not have to be forced to accept any religious belief, catholic,

When have I ever said that I wanted the government to subsidize my religion?
I don't believe in spiritual welfare.  The Pentecostal faith is strong
enough to survive without government backing.

Priests and the church are still given respect they do not deserve.
Even in the UK our courts still treat them with kid gloves.  This
needs to stop, only then might the church realise why it is wrong to
rape children and hide it.

Italy needs to forcefully annex the Vatican and seize all their riches.
They need to sell the Vatican treasures and use the money to improve their
country.  Imagine how many poor all that money would help.  But the Vatican
would rather send fox saints like "Mother" Theresa to make the dying suffer
and funnel even more money to Rome.

And what would the Pope do about it?  The Vatican has no military to speak
of if any at all.  Unless some other countries backed the Vatican, this
would be a bloodless coup.

Mullet, you're really showing your butt now.  Vatican City is a sovereign
country, and it's would not be an annexation, but an invasion.  Now the
treasures in the museum do not belong to the Vatican, but still owned by
families of long dead people.

And even when corrected believes that none of it affects him.  He is
so cafeteria catholic that he does not even know who elects the pope:

"The Bishops elect the Pope - just like I have always said."

One just has to wonder what Earl thinks annexation is?  Clearly he us
using a definition here unknown to the wider world and especially to
users of the English language.

Liar, most of the treasures were gifted to the Vatican.  Or does the
Vatican lie when it states this?  Tough question that, is Earl or the
Vatican lying....which to believe....

Well, he told me that it was his understanding that you would not be
posting here anymore. If you didn't lie to him outright, you certainly
deceived him.

No, it was not Andy, at least not when I called Fr. Vu. And I don't
have to lie to say I am a priest in good standing, I *am* a priest in
good standing. I tried six ways from Sunday to explain to you why you
ought not post here. I tried an appeal from Christian Charity. I tried
an appeal from good manners. I tried an appeal simply from what is
*right.*

You weren't having any of it.

You embarrass me, Earl. If the Church were even halfway what your
example presents it to be, I'd have left a long time ago.

And as for that nonsense about how you "listen to priests who are in
good standing," I think we all know by now (participants and lurkers
alike) the true value of ANY statement you make.

Earl has always thought that touching children inappropriately is not
abuse:

"Ever wonder how many male parents teasingly pinched their
young daughters on their newly budding breasts, or female
parents "touch" their young son's genitals in just the
wrong way - only now to have to stand accused of a charge
of sexual molestation of children." - duke (Earl J Weber)

"only a fool fails to understand that a lot of fathers
teasingly pinch their daughters and mothers teasingly touch
their sons.  It's called child molestation outside the
family unit." - duke (Earl J Weber)

"I was talking about a loving family teasingly pinching
nipples (pre breast type) and comparing how that's quite
alright in a family setting but clearly and quickly labeled
as child molestation outside the family setting."
- duke (Earl J Weber)
