I don't always agree with him but still enjoy watching the 700 Club. The
good thing: he no longer answers medical questions. He was providing some
very stupid and dangerous answers. It's my guess that he got sued by
someone that took his advice.

He told a lady that had diabetes that she could stop taking insulin if she
changed her diet. That may work with type 2 diabetes but it won't work in
regard to type 1 diabetes. The person that asked the question did not
indicate what type of diabetes she had. I was shocked at that stupid
answer.

Jason, if a person With type 2 diabetes is already taking insulin, a
change of diet wont improve their situation to the point where they
can stop taking insulin.

That's why I said it MAY work with type 2 diabetes. Doctor Julian Whitaker
wrote a book entitled REVERSING DIABETES. In that book, he provides a diet
plan that people can follow to reverse type 2 diabetes. However, I agree
that if a patient has had type 2 diabetes for many years, it's doubtful
that patient could reverse diabetes by following Dr. Whitaker's special
diet. However, the special diet plan may make it possible for that patient
to gradually reduce the dosage of insulin. If anyone that has diabetes
reads this post, I advise you to discuss this subject with your doctor and
take your doctor's advice.

Jason, there's a big difference between "may" and "won't".

And it isn't just doubtful, it's not possible.

Don't you realise type 2 diabetes is progressive?

Weight loss *is* the answer. At 265 I had type-2. I was taking Metformin,
something for blood pressure, and something for high cholesterol. I went on
a diet of my own and lost 100 lbs. The doctor confirmed I beat the
disease, took me off all the medication. I can eat fast food again, drink
cokes, beer, whatever. But I don't. I've grown to like sugar-free stuff.
Turkey burgers. And ice water. The last time I got drunk was about a year
ago in Vegas.

A fellow dialysis patient of mine is type 2, he admits to not having
taken his metformin regularly which led to his needing insulin, which
again he failed to take regularly. He is about 17 stone (238 pounds),
still won't eat the recommended diet. His kidneys are screwed, he's
suffering glaucoma in both eyes, so his sight is going. On top of
which he's loosing sensation in both his feet, which is down to the
poor circulation in his legs. All because he wouldn't do what he'd
been told. Not a good example, true; but he's perfect as a terrible
warning.

If you get bored with ice water try a few drops of a good peppermint
extract in a gallon or so.

Good for you, Vic. Isn't it amazing how fast the taste for some of

Or try Arrowhead Sparkling water that comes with - not *flavors*,
exactly, more like scents. They have a great orange, lemon, black
cherry, pomegranate, and raspberry-lime, as well as unflavored. The
only one to avoid like the plague is the lime - it tastes like
transmission fluid smells.

I find that carbonated water somehow cuts thirst better than flat
water does; YMMV.

God can heal anyone that God wants to heal.

When Jesus was on this earth, he healed lots of people but only the people
that he wanted to heal.

Uncle Vic,
Congratulations on beating type-2 diabetes. Doctor Julian Whitaker tells
his diabetes patients to take these two supplements that you can purchase
at most any health food store or vitamin store:

Alpha Lipoic Acid
Berberine

You should follow the dosage levels mentioned on the containers.

You can make your own with an infusion pitcher. And know exactly what
the ingredients are. Read the label on those "flavored" waters; it'll be
full of chemical names and no actual fruit.

would have said so in the first place.

Jason, what's the point of following a diet plan that has no benefits?

There is no "one size fits all" type of diet for diabetes, just as
there is no "one size fits all" type of diet for any other medical
condition that may be assisted by dietary alterations. If there were
such diets, there'd be no need for specialist dieticians, and I would
never got to meet the fantastic renal dieticians that help me and my
fellow kidney patients.

I agree. However, specialist dieticians can usually develop diet plans for
many different common diseases such as liver disease, heart disease,
diabetes and kidney disease.

I'm surprised how lenient the US is about this sort of thing - Kevin
Trudeau seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

I believe there's an arrest warrent out for Morris Cerullo in London
after he "cured" an epileptic who went home, told her family she
didn't need her meds any more, had a fit while having a bath and
drowned.

You really aren't paying attention, are you?

There is no "one size fits all" diet for any medical condition that
may be assisted by dietary alterations.

That's why we have specialist dieticians.

Exactly. Do you want to die of "sickness or disease"
How many parents are willing to let their children die of "sickness
or disease"

If your Jesus from another dimension had the compassion of a spider it
would not want anyone to die of "sickness or disease".

Not even instantly as opposed to the deaths from cancers, malaria,

My sympathies, sincerely. Menopause *always* sucks, but it sucks
harder for some than for others. Mine wasn't any fun, but I got
through it, and you will to. There is light at the end of the
tunnel. Hang in there.

I was very very lucky. I had pretty much no troubles at all. My whole
life has been a series of hot flashes, so the extra ones were hardly
noticeable.

As a teenager I had to support my mum during her menopause, because my
step-dad didn't know what to do or how to cope. While I will never
experience such a thing myself being a mere male, at least I have a
little more understanding of that aspect of a woman's life than some
other guys. I even tried to help my step-dad to get to grips with it,
but it was very difficult.

There's a man's prayer in Judaism, part of which goes "I thank Thee
that thou hast not made me to be a woman..." I used to get really
ticked off when someone would bring up that prayer, because I thought
it was referring to men being better than, or superior to, women.
Then, half-way through menopause, I realized that the prayer had been
written by a man who had watched a woman go through menopause and
thought, "Shit, I'm *so* thankful that I don't have to experience
that!"

That wasn't my thought when helping my mum out.

My thought was more like "Shit, why do women have to go through this?"

But that was because I hated seeing my mum suffer.

I saw an interesting movie many years ago entitled "Death Takes a
Holiday". It was a film about the "death angel". He decided to take a one
year vacation. It caused all sorts of problems. There were hundreds of
people in terrible pain due to auto accidents and serious medical problems
such as heart failure.

They all wanted to die but were not able to die since the death angel was
taking a one year vacation.

Death is not always a bad thing. In some cases, it's a good thing since it
means the end of pain and suffering.

Yes, I do. It was clearly a fictional movie and fictional screeplay.

I have learned lots about the nature of good and evil by watching Dexter
and various other movies such as James Bond movies.

I doubt that the advocates of Muslims terrorists understand the nature of
good and evil. If they did, they would not continue to be advocates of
Muslim terrorists.

For example, a Palestinian official recently said that if he had access to
a nuclear bomb, he would explode it in Israel. The liberal news media
ignored the story.

Apparently you did not learn that good and evil are relative terms for
the most part.

Your "Muslim Terrorists" believe that they are doing the will of God
just as strongly as the 19 year olds who joined the army to help the
people of Vietnam or those who joined the army in 1916 to fight for
God and the country of Germany.

I would need more information before providing an answer.

I will say this: If I had been a high ranking member of the German
military when Hitler was alive and I found out that he was murdering
millions of Jews very year, I would have killed Hitler.

Let's say that I felt that God had told me to kill the governor of
California or the president of the USA, I would NOT do it.

If I lived in Iran and God told me to kill a radical imam that was
training teenagers to become suicide bombers in Israel, I would kill that
radical imam.

It's more likely that the reason is they are considered to be rebels that
are willing to try out special procedures such as the use of CHELATION to

are willing to do it.

So you believe that a new born baby is someone who should be killed?
The bible is filled with tales of your God ordering exactly that.

1 Samuel 15:2,3

2 This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will punish the Amalekites
for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up
from Egypt.3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy [a]
everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men
and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and
donkeys.' "

Hosea 13:16

16 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have
rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little
ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open."

It also seems that He is praised and glorified for doing so...

Psalms 135:1-8

1 Praise the LORD. [a]
Praise the name of the LORD;
praise him, you servants of the LORD,

2 you who minister in the house of the LORD,
in the courts of the house of our God.

3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good;
sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.

4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own,
Israel to be his treasured possession.

5 I know that the LORD is great,
that our Lord is greater than all gods.

6 The LORD does whatever pleases him,
in the heavens and on the earth,
in the seas and all their depths.

7 He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth;
he sends lightning with the rain
and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

8 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt,
the firstborn of men and animals.

Psalms 136:10

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.

2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.

3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.

4 to him who alone does great wonders,
His love endures forever.

5 who by his understanding made the heavens,
His love endures forever.

6 who spread out the earth upon the waters,
His love endures forever.

7 who made the great lights?
His love endures forever.

8 the sun to govern the day,
His love endures forever.

9 the moon and stars to govern the night;
His love endures forever.

10 to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt
His love endures forever.

Psalms 137:8-9

8 O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is he who repays you
for what you have done to us-

9 he who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks.

I have understood the nature of good and evil for most of my life.
However, I am still learning about that subject.

It appears to me that many liberals do NOT understand the nature of good
and evil. For example, there was an article about the local Muslim mosque
in the local newspaper. The liberal reporter did NOT even ask the imam
about his opinions about Muslim terrorists that have killed innocent
people. The article focused on the fact that the local leaders of that
mosque believe in freedom. That's a good thing but it's a FACT that there
are thousands of muslim terrorists in the world. The liberal reporter did
not appear to know those sorts of facts. If the reporter did know those
facts, the reporter should have asked that iman his opinion about the
muslim terrorists.

Bush2 also made a statement like this "The Muslim religion is a religion
of peace.". That is correct but it is only half the truth. The full truth
is that there are also thousands of muslim terrorists in the world.

I doubt that Obama has ever said these words. "Radical Muslims have a goal
of taking over the world." Muslims are off to a great start. There are
about 49 Muslim majority countries in the world.

It was a test. In the end, Abraham did not kill his first-born son as per
the Holy Bible.

I don't believe God told any of those people to carrry out those murders.
I have never murdered or killed anyone in my entire life. Yes, I believe
all of the above mentioned people are nutcases.

If they were hearing messages in their brain, it's my guess the messages
were from Satan or one of his demons. As you know, people that have
schizophrenia hear voices in their mind on a regular basis. My neighbor
has schizophrenia and is convinced that the messages she hears in her mind
come from demons. She has told me some of those messages she has heard.

I seem to recall that there is a verse in the Bible that says that Satan
and his demons can appear as angels of light. It takes wisdom to
understand if messages in our head are coming from God or coming from
demons pretending to be angels sent by God.
