In other news, the Sun rose in the East again this morning, just as it has
every day for all of recorded history.

And here where I live in Kansas,
my Congressman caught HELL
for voting again for Obamacare.
I phoned her and said that I would
not support her, that this is a crushing
tax on middle-class. She was nearly
in tears, but the time I hung the phone.

How about a pool for how many times the Republicans are going to
fake-repeal the ACA before they are unable to do it anymore?

The way I look at it: as long as the GOP is voting to repeal Obamacare,
they aren't screwing up anything important.

Unfortunately, they are. Despite their jobs jobs jobs rhetoric in 2010,
the only things they have done is fake-repeal the ACA and pass, or try
to pass, anti-abortion bills. Jobs jobs jobs.

Next up: an anti-abortion bill.

How many of those have they "passed" now?

Those are dangerous because, after they get shot down by the US Senate,
individual state legislatures introduce them on a state by state basis.

What exactly does the term 'Middle class' mean in the US? From the
way in which it is used in various threads here it seems to mean
something rather different to it does here in the UK.

Oh, they know it's nothing more than symbolic, but they're playing to
their base.

Of course, they're completely oblivious to the millions of Americans who
are already benefitting from the bill and are talking about it to their
friends and family.

Can you imagine the Dem ads--your representative voted to take the
insurance away from those of you with children with pre-existing
conditions and your adult children who can't find a job. Oh, yeah, and
all of you with pre-existing conditions or illnesses that used to butt
up against the annual or lifetime limits?

If the Dems play this right (and I'm definitely NOT assuming they will),
it could be a bloodbath.

First of all, nothing BroilJAB posts has any credibility at all. Pay
no attention to what he posts.

The term 'American middle class' is a bit nebulous but I think it's
safe to say that it is the socio-economic class between the poor and
the rich. Where those lines are drawn is problematic though.

It didn't do me much good but you might be interested in the Wiki on
the term.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_middle_class

How is the term defined in the UK?

After 33 votes to repeal Obamacare, how many alternative plans have they
brought forth for a vote? 20? 10? No, wait, the answer is...........

ZERO.

Fucking asshole GOPpers ought to be tar and feathered for taking taxpayer
money paychecks for doing absolutely fucking nothing.
