That is exactly what it is, an "alleged rape". It's a shame that these
boys have to be put through the ringer because this girl couldn't
handle her booze and decided she wanted to engage in a little "fun".
Had this girl acted like a lady and decided not to imbide in alcohol
with these men, the entire situation would have been avoided.

(CBS News) A recent Pentagon survey found that 26,000 assaults took
place in the military last year, and one of the most high-profile
accusations has only recently come to light: the current investigation
of three Naval Academy students who stand accused of raping a fellow
classmate.

"CBS This Morning" special correspondent Jeff Glor spoke with the
female student involved.

Glor reported, the female student -- a Navy midshipman -- is only 20
years old and is still in school. The incident happened last spring
and she admits she had been drinking heavily, and doesn't remember
much -- but says that doesn't change the facts. Three of her
classmates, three football players, have been accused of rape.

That is exactly what it is, a rape. It's a shame this girl had to
suffer such humiliation because these boys couldn't control their
hormones and decided they wamted to engage in a little "fun". Had the
boys acted like gentlemen and decided not to fornicate with this girl,
the entire situation would have been avoided.

Dishonest. Indecent. Lacking in integrity.

Having sex with someone so impaired that they black out IS rape.

No; as is usual in these situations, BOTH the boys and the girl had
too much to drink and their inhibitions were let down. The difference
now is that the boys are not embarrassed and are willing to accept
responsibility for their indiscretions. The young woman, now sober,
refuses to accept her part in the previous evening's 'follies'. Why
must only the boys bare responsibility? The young woman should have
exhibited some morality and decency and never engaged in this
debauchery in the first place if she didn't want her reputation
tainted.

They raped her. It's rape if informed consent is not given; someone
impaired enough to suffer a blackout is incapable of giving informed
consent. Therefore, by definition, it is rape.

I have never understood how anybody can even get aroused by an
unconscious partner. I want full participation... with all faculties
present and accounted for.

It doesn't matter if the partner says yes all the way to the point of
insertion and then says no.... no means no. And unconscious definitely
means no.
