Where can I get one of those? Could save me some
time and effort here, sounds like.
The reason it's a "prevailing argument" is because
a minute's reflection on the claim that god
ensouls humans at the moment of contraception,
along with a rudimentry understanding of human
reproduction, smacks you right in the face with
the unsettling realization that most of these
"persons" die before they can ever get born.
Anyone who didn't realize that on their own is not
paying attention. If I believed the "soul"
silliness, I wouldn't be able to sleep nights.

Really? "Doctors". How many would that be? Two
minimum, I suppose. Got a list?
Actually, I don't care how many: life does not
"begin" at conception; life began over four
billion years ago, and each living sperm and each
living ovum is the recipient of an unbroken chain
of life reaching back that far.
Playing silly word games by trying to substitute
"life" for "humanity" is either ignorant or
dishonest. You choose.
Incidentally: when is the exact instant of this
"fertilization" you speak of? When the sperm
penetrates the corona radiata? The zona pelludica?
When the two haploid sets combine? Stage One
Mitosis? When?
