I think that it might be WW2. The Russians did use biplanes including
the Po-2, which looks similar to the pictures. That was the plane flown
by the "Night Witches", a squadron of women who flew night bombing
missions against the Germans. They usually didn't do much damage, but
they ruined a lot of sleep.

Well, I don't hang out with them too much anyway since giving up the booze
and the cigs. They're still content to spend their summers drinking beer
and chain smoking while the kids play in the pool. I can't do that shit
anymore. I need to get out and about. I'd love to show their kids that
there's a lot more out there. Oh well, I haven't given up yet ;)
