This storm will dump a few feet of snow right on NY & NJ within days.
*We all know nothing will be fixed in time. In fact things will be
worst. Even if the gas stations had electricity to pump gas they would
run out within hours. This is a SHTF about a week ago situation. I
can't believe some of these people are already needing food and water

Your estimate of 1500 deaths from Sandy is perhaps ten fold too high.
However, with complication and suicides could easily put the death
toll at 300.
A third of those homes and business owners are financially wiped out
or otherwise done for. The other two thirds should turn out better
off than before, as long as those having died and the future higher
cost of most everything isn't a consideration.
Actually, on any land without a 16' advantage above average sea level
shouldn't be occupied by anything except camping and farming, but that
would eliminate the majority of New York that's overpopulated and
dumber than dumb about such matters. Of course having a proper
foundation and its structure fully attached is simply out of the
question.

It is such an eye opener to see how things are falling in place so
