Is this loonie for real?
The most common elements in the universe are hydrogen, helium and
oxygem. Helium is inert so the most common compound is water. It
arrived when gravity formed the Earth from the accrestion disk which
was the material in orbit around the Sun when that was formed.
From thunderf00t's excellent Why do people laugh at creationists?

And as a sidebar/sideswipe at the creationists' cousins, the
eco-fundie: not only is water the most common compound, but the
amount of water on Earth has always been the same. No water is
ever "lost". We have the same number of pints of cool refreshing
dihydrogen monoxide as the Neanderthal or the dinosaurs.

No, it does not. First, you seem completely unaware that water is a

The earth was formed as part of the development of the solar system.
It's not as if there was a rock that eventually collected enough water
from the rest of the universe to be the way it is today.

There are other elements, too, but maybe you'll get to them in fourth

Brenda probably meant the Christian 'God', but since

After all, if one god does exist, who is to say that there

I'm always curious about why people believe the
things they believe. It helps to understand them
better. Why not? I'm posting in alt.atheism. If I forgot
to delete the cross-posting, I apologize. If you see
this message, it means that you are cross-posting
to alt.atheism, since I generally only post to alt.atheism.
Some of the people, generally trolls, crosspost to
all kinds of newsgroups that have nothing to do with
the discussion they have invaded. They do this to
be annoying and to make trouble. I always try to
remember to remove their cross-posting.
I'd be interested in seeing if she will. At least
she's polite, even if she does sound a bit snooty.
We haven't had a really good religious discussion
in aa for a long time.
That is beautiful. Rude, but beautiful. And, it's only
part of a series!
You deserved Brend'a's comment. You were asked a
question and responded with a question on a totally
different topic. If you want to be treated seriously,
answer questions asked of you before changing the
subject. As you can see, your rude question was
answered already. And, before you ask, I've already
explained why your question was rude. If you do
this again, we'll know that you are a troll and you
will be treated accordingly.

Wrong. Atheists deny/reject the existence of God without the least tiny bit of
evidence to support such a belief.
ONe that simply doesn't believe in God because they find the evidence, all the
evidence, unconvincing is just an agnostic.
Better luck next time, atheist wannabe.

I wouldn't say rude - just giving him and the stuff he plagiarised
from Kent Hovind the contempt they deserve.
The loonie went downhill from there until he finally flipped in a
response to thunderf00t, turnng into a cackling lunatic.
The creationist responded by playing dirty with things like false DMCA
copyright accusations to get TF taken of line, vote bots to get his
videos a one star rating so they didn't show up in searches, deleting
comments against him and blocking the users doing that, etc.
DMCA accusations are filed under penalty of perjury because they carry
the force of law and bring the very justice process into disrepute.
He eventually suffered the best meltdown I've seen on youtube...

Really? You wanted to be taught? Okay.
Do you know what elements are?

I think so.....but let us start from the basics, k? What are the very
elements made of?

In the traditional sense, protons, neutrons and electrons. The protons

are fundamental and are called leptons.
The central part of the atom contains only protons and neutrons.
Electrons are in energy shells outside them.

Your whole discussion here is completely disingenuous. If you are

And yes, it's possible to be educated and ignorant. I consider myself
to be pretty well educated, with a healthy thirst for more knowledge
at (nearly) 54. But I admit to being extremely ignorant on any number
of topics that haven't piqued my interests. But, there is a threshold
for this definition of ignorance. Public demonstration of ignorance
about subjects that are considered prerequisites for entering junior
high school, does not meet that threshold.

Atoms!!! Are all atoms the same? Are all atoms ~brought into being~

So, you really are outdoing yourself. I don't think any real religious
zealot is quite that over the top, but who knows. Yes, as a general
rule, atoms do not differential whether they will be part of a living
organism or not.

Well this is valid, but only up to a point. If I couldn't express
grade school science with any degree of understanding, I'd be pretty
worried. It's hard to make your way in this world with no education
whatsoever. It's like Derek Bok said: "If you think education is
expensive, try ignorance".

I definitely take back the rude, now that we know for
certain that pegmouth is nothing but a troll.
So, Pegleg and Venomfangx are the same person? Wow, did
he get creamed in UTube by Thunderfoot and Richard Dawkins!
Give him a list of books to read or websites to go to. If he's
serious, which I doubt very highly, he can check these out
and learn on his own - without wasting your time; if he isn't
serious (my guess), you won't have wasted any time except
in listing the books. Besides, maybe others will check them out,
so it wouldn't be a waste of time at all.
I didn't mean he was the same - just that he's as big a loonie.
I want to see another meltdown.

No, I am asking serious questions....trying very hard to do so in a
humble way. You and some like u are the ones that lay claim to

trying very hard to shut me up.....why? Could it be u don't have the
answers?

Your questions are anything but serious. But how earnest they are
could possibly be debatable. When you ask a question like "What
sustains these atoms that are in the living and the dead?" or "the
'evolution' of water", you are either too uneducated to be helped by a
forum like this, or just pulling everybody's leg. Either way, it's a
waste of time and effort to address how erroneous your questions are,
much less what the answers are, which are a small context of the
scientific principles you're addressing.
Go to your local library, get books on these subjects, read them for
comprehension, and then formulate better questions and ask them in
Usenet groups whose actual purpose is to discuss these subjects.

Pragmatically:
My father became an Aeronautics Engineer in 1950, which was before the
first rocket launches into space occurred. So he was on the ground
floor of a new industry that gave him a 40 year career that permitted
him to provide well for his family while doing work he seemed to
enjoy.
I myself. have been a Software Engineer, Architect, Designer and
Developer for over 30 years and again, I have been able to provide for
my family while doing work I (mostly) enjoy.
Philosophically
My father stressed having an understanding of things and to know how
they work. I enjoy doing that and this type of knowledge makes me
happy.
There is a hint of that in the questions you're asking. Only you are
going about it in a completely wrong way by asking random questions.
There are no short cuts to learning this stuff. Get a book and study.

And this is why you're not being taken seriously. Your "atoms"
question is plainly stupid, and indicates that you're only here to
troll. Free Lunch is just following Usenet protocol, which is "Don't
feed the trolls". And that is looking more and more like a good idea.
