V:
Thank you for your reply Neil. I like comedy as much as anyone Neil.
But, when we find comic relief in hurting others...that is no joke
Neil. If it makes me a dork to not want to hurt others, so be it. I
will gladly be a dork...a dork that can be at peace within. Yes,
apologies do matter, but apologies must also be authentic for them to
be of any worth. In you case, an apology is just 'lip service' and
nothing more.
The formula for success is: Authentic Nature + Right Actions = Peace
The formula for failure is: Authentic Nature + Wrong Actions =
Destruction
You have a history of hurtful, abusive replies my friend. You routinely
go out of your way to humiliate others. It is so easy for you to
'dismiss it all as joke,' just as you do with many of the cruel remarks
you support that your fellow atheists make. But we both know you are
confusing the two 'H' words Neil.
HUMOR is nothing more that a 'code word' for HATRED for you Neil.
Be honest and you will not have to hide behind the lies any longer
Neil. It will save both of us time that way so we do not have to play
games. I can at least respect your honesty that way, albeit as
misguided as it may be Neil. A liar that cannot even be honest with
themselves is really in trouble Neil. You are a very smart fellow Neil,
but as smart as you are, you are bankrupt in the area of finding inner
peace as your actions demonstrate.
And of course you do not like talk or parables of morality and virtue
as you told me below. They may shed some light on the fact that Neil is
not all he thinks himself to be.
Neil Kelsey writes:
"I'm not interested in vague horoscopish parables like the ones you
spout. When I do bother to derive meaning from them I usually roll my
eyes and think "this person is the master of the bleedin' obvious," to
paraphrase a certain fictional British twit. I think you're fooling
yourself. I don't think you have any ties to any particular religion
because you want to be worshipped like a god yourself. The other gods
are competition. You want US to be spiritual, and to regard you with
religious awe If you're interested in truth then study science and
forget trying to set yourself up as an object of worship." (quote
condensed)
Until you learn that Neil is not God and Neil must bow to the God of
Peace and the God of Nature, you will continue on your mockery of a
life that can best be described as the tragedy that manifests itself as
Neil Kelsey. I wish you the best of luck with finding peace someday
Neil, I really do, for if nothing else it would save me some typing
time answering you constant barrage of derogatory attacks on me.
If I was a religious man, I'd pray for you Neil. But we both know that
prayer wont fix you. Only Neil can fix Neil and it all stems from a
desire within you to be a new person Neil.
An important thing to remember with internal change is the 3-D's:
Desire, Determination and Diligence.
Desire:
Desire is the foundation for all recovery quests and this includes
recovery from ego addiction and hatred as you exhibit Neil. You cannot
help someone without the desire in them to be helped, as the
spiritually sick and defiant atheists prove. Desire is what gets us
taking that first step in the right direction when all seems hopeless.
Have you every tried to give advice or help someone in need and they
respond: "I don't care."
Or in the case of one defiance based lady atheist response to me...
"So. Fucking what...do you think I give a flying fuck what you think,
dipshit...Not that it's any of YOUR fucking business...Don't presume
that you know what's best for me, you deluded, motherfucking,
cocksucking son of a whore."
I can tell this lady and you Neil that the business of humanism is 'all
our business' if we with to live life at peace. I suggest you read the
'informal creed' of atheism that discusses this topic.
(Snip)
"An Atheist loves his fellow man instead of god. An Atheist believes
that heaven is something for which we should work now - here on earth
for all men together to enjoy."
As such I ask if someone is thirsty and needs a drink when I see them
parched Neil. And if I am mistaken, then no harm done. I leave them in
peace, but I do ask. there are many more 'atheist approved' guidelines
for you to adopt Neil. Just read some of my old posts, I discuss them
in detail. But as you read them, do so with an open mind instead of
reading them with a mindset of what error can I find in this post to
destroy V.
Atheists are their own worse enemy, aren't they Neil. They do the best
job at keeping people in religion. For who in their right mind would
wish to have such thoughts as you and this lady have in your heads. But
as noxious as both you are, you both can change in heartbeat...if YOU
desire to change.
Desire must come from within, you cannot force someone to change, they
must change themselves. But, before a desire to change can be
manifested, one must come to a "realization" that a change needs to
occur in ones life. You and other defiance based atheists will sooner
or later realize though pain and suffering that a change must come
about as their old life is destroying them. The God of Nature and the
God of Peace demand this of all humans.
Determination:
Determination serves two purposes here. When something is "determined"
it is accepted as fact. We have determined that we are powerless over
our addiction and our lives are unmanageable. We have determined we
must abstain from certain people, places or things that we cannot
comfortably have in our lives. We are in the process of determining a
new set of rules on how to live. We have also determined what injuries
we have caused and what needs to be repaired through taking personal
inventory.
Determination serves a second purpose and that is it keeps us on the
long road to recovery. We cannot keep on this long road without being
determined to change our lives day in day out. Whether it is debt
recovery, clutter, restructuring our complex lives or losing weight or
ego deification, it all takes time and determination to stay on the
path of recovery. Many distractions, detours and set backs along the
way, but we should always be determined to keep pointed in the
direction of recovery.
Diligence:
Diligence keeps us from going backwards once we finally arrive at the
recovery place we are aiming for. It takes diligence once we get to
where we want to be to maintain that serene spot, otherwise we fall
back on our old "natural" ways of living. Once you become humble, let
go of the ego, lose the fat, once you pay off your debts, get sober and
abstinent from your drug of choice it takes diligence to keep you that
way.
James Allen calls this watchfulness...."Victories attained by right
thought can only be maintained by watchfulness. Many give way when
success is assured and rapidly fall back into failure."
(oops I guess that is just another on of those vague horoscopish
parables that is so bleedin' obvious...obvious to all except Neil it
seems)
Good Luck Neil, I hope you take that first step today and head in the
opposite direction you have been traveling in for so long and build
yourself a new life of inner peace.

I guess he reads his own rubbish. That is some punishment.
No you don't. You have exhibited exactly zero wit in all your
ramblings, and you have consistently misunderstood the humourous intent
of the atheists on this newsgroup. You take yourself and life
terminally seriously. I think I can safely say that few of the atheists
here are like that.
> But, when we find comic relief in hurting others...that is no joke
> Neil.
You choose how you want to react to the jokes. You choose to be hurt by
them. The jokes are a reaction to you trying to hurt us, first by
droning on about how we're not good enough, then by trying to bore us
to death. As I said before, the humour is a coping mechanism, and it's
a good one. We get our message across, no one is hurting you physically
(which happens so often when someone pisses off someone else), and we
get to laugh. The minute you join in is the minute you stop being the
brunt of the jokes.
> If it makes me a dork to not want to hurt others, so be it.
I think you have no self awareness at all and you can't see how your
every post is an attempt to hurt others.
> I will gladly be a dork...a dork that can be at peace within.
Again, I think you're kidding yourself. You seem in inner turmoil to
me.
> Yes, apologies do matter, but apologies must also be authentic for them to

I actually meant it. I think I might be one of the few atheists on here
that kinda likes you. You're earnest and relentless, and I don't mind
those qualities. It makes me roll my eyes when I have to curb my
enthusiasm for the hard of laughing, but I've done it before. I've got
a large group of long time friends that spout similar dogma to yours,
they're not as oblivious to others as you are, but you remind me of
them.

Nah. Humour is a coping mechanism. You are the one that hates, you hate
us in our present state and charged into alt.atheism trying to get us
to change. We are simply disagreeing with you, but you're not hearing
that. The only thing I hate is corn dogs.

I already told you I have no interest in inner peace. I have eternity
to be inert. I want action, and I want it as much as possible. My goal
is to sleep as little as possible. Sorry, different interests, no worse
or no better than yours, but at least I'm not trying to make you feel
inadequate for not thinking the way I do.
> And of course you do not like talk or parables of morality and virtue

Nah. I like more direct talk. I like it when peole express themselves
rather than memorizing something I can read in a book. I enjoy talking
about ethics, though, although morality and virtue are such loaded
words. They sound so, well, Biblical. Just a quirk with me.

I'm an atheist, I lack belief in any gods. Until you understand that
then you'll continue to misinterpret disagreement with derogatory
attacks.
> If I was a religious man, I'd pray for you Neil.
Well, you ARE a religious man, so go ahead and pray. Unless the God of
Peace and the God of Nature are not gods, in which case you're even
more confused than you seem.
> But we both know that

There's another myth. No one can be a new person, even if I wanted,
which I don't.

No. I'm a little more sensitive to others than you seem to be. I wait
until I'm asked, then I'll help. Until then I assume the person doesn't
want or doesn't need my help.

Humanism does not mean imposing your delusions on others.

That paragraph is absurd, since an atheist lacks belief in heaven.
Although I suppose it means a metaphorical heaven, in which case I
agree. So then, you should work not to impose your beliefs on others,
because that would help make a world for all (humans) together to
enjoy. Because obviously we're not enjoying it. Well, I am, but only
for the straight lines.

No you don't, you ask them if they need a drink (even though they have
a water bottle) then you wrestle them to the ground, roll up a water
truck, force their mouths open, stick a hose in their mouth and pump
water laced with copious amounts of LSD at 10 GPM. You are oblivious to
others.

Sorry V, atheism seems to be catching on. My toxic personality

Thanks V. I'm not going to, I'm having a great time heading in the

I have been wondering for years (that's what the length of time seems
