But, wait a minute, we don't have a single member of Congress who says
he's an atheist, or at least that he doesn't believe in God. It would,
in all likelihood, ruin their careers. So it must be that every stupid
policy out there, from environmental destruction to the war on drugs,
from the lack of universal healthcare to the lack of room to ride a
mundane bike, are the direct result of the Christians, their elected
representatives --or God, if there's any.

I think people like you vote in the elections. And that's very
dangerous.

QUESTION:
And how can it be that the "mother of all democracies" denies
healthcare to all its citizens?
ANSWER:
Because the segment of the population most involved in "democracy" is
the ELDERLY, and they already have Medicare.
CLUE: THEY ARE THE SACRED COW IN AMERICA, people who are near death
and are afraid of God.

Fortney H. "Pete" Stark a Democrat, he has been a member of the U.S. House
of Representatives since 1973, currently representing California's 13th
congressional district in southwestern Alameda County. Currently he is the
sixth most senior Representative as well as 8th most senior member of
Congress.
Stark acknowledged his atheism in response to an SCA questionnaire sent to
public officials in January 2007.

Fact is a very small percentage of Americans are Atheists.
Thats about two thirds of the US populatoin and 85 percent of congress in
Eight Christian and Jewish groups. The demographic is probably that
Fundamantalist Chrisatians and jews make up a vocal ten per cent of
congress and overlap with neoconservative Liberitarian economics.
Fringe groups like Atheistic communists tool over a formerly religious

your point is?

So basically you think people should pay
7.8 per cent insurance
47.8 per cent on pay
1.1 per cent municipla
thats 56.7 per cent income tax oh and an extra 7-11 per cent if you earn
more than a but 2 million dollars.
28 per cent on anything after that e.g. money from property or shares?
http://www.nordisketax.net/main.asp?url=files/nor/eng/i07.asp&c=nor&l=eng&m=02

and look at figures 1.1. 2.5 2.6 2.7 and the graph on page 42 in

The US and Ireland with lower tax rates perform quite well and are up there
with norway.
Dont forget 20 per cent of Norways money comes from North Sea oil.
Venezualans though poor are happy
It is only when you get into the $20,000 a year that income becomes less
imprtant and governeace and freedom enter more into the picture.
REligion is about as important for people anywhere (and only accounts for 1
to 2 per cent of the national happiness).
community accounts for about 10 per cent.

"This is a truly magnificent movie. I watched it for the first time
just a few months ago and then rented it again. This movie does a
great job of showing how Congress is constantly on the take and how
they are completely controlled by outside influences...and how those
outside influences control the media also. Jimmy Stewart does an
outstanding job of playing the All-American young man, with great
reverence for our Founding Fathers and all that he's learned about the
rich history of our country. But when he becomes a Senator, he
discovers how corrupt the system is, and how the politicians and the
media completely have their own agenda. In short, Jimmy Stewart
represents so many of us individual Americans, wanting so much to make
a difference in our country. I really think that this is one of the
best movies ever made. And in reading more about the movie online,
I've learned that Joe Kennedy, Sr., the father of JFK, tried to
persuade Frank Capra to not release this movie in Europe, fearing that
it would cause Europeans to have a much lower opinion of our country
and of our politicians..."
"The Republican party has made their decision to become a tool of
Christian extremists seeking to impose Christian theocracy and
legislate biblical morality. Deciding not to support them is an easy
call. And yet, the Democratic presidential candidates have evidently
decided to tie themselves to a Religious Left. Their colleagues in
Congress sit idly by while Bushco continues its crusade of pushing
fear and idiocy. Might this help to explain why Congress now enjoys an
approval rating of around 25% and dropping quickly? By refusing to
demand accountability, work for meaningful change, and stand for
something besides lining their own pockets, the Democrats risk losing
Congress again.
According to Ellen Johnson of American Atheists, the approximately 58
million nonbelievers in America can represent an important voting
block. With the Godless Americans Political Action Committee, she is
trying to make sure that politicians know of us. We can help by
continuing to criticize religious idiocy and promote atheism, secular
humanism, freethought, and reason. We must not be content to let the
Democratic party continue to ignore us."

Maybe the deity all those politicians worship is really none other than
Loki, or Eris? :P
It would fit...

I don't know if the politicians really believe in God, but they sure
believe in Gold...
If the Christians went after them like the go after prostitution,
they'd even catch some of them for prostituting their services.

Maybe they did it too because of the pressure from greater democracy.
Switzerland and Taiwan jumped on the wagon last, but still here they
reject Single Payer.
The only thing that would be passed here is Single Prayer. ;)

False. Here in Italy we have many drugs and treats which can be paid by the
gov't, but no freaking teeth unless you're totally broken. So we have to go
to private dentists and fork out 1K euros at a time.
I paid 2250 euros for a broken tooth between 2008 and 2009.
Fuck that.
