I have stopped a beam of light twice as fast.My record now is 3/4 of
an inch from its source. Its still in the macro realm, but just maybe U
of Mass will let me use their lab?? With my method, and their
equipment I'll try for the thickness of a hair. I don't know how short
a time I can show photons leaving, and stopped in flight . Even 3/4 of
an inch comes under Heisenberg's "Uncertainty Principle " Keep in mind
3/4 is tiny knowing light goes around Earth 7 times in on second. I
miss Uncle Al and he was much smarter than I,but I was more clever. He
knew just about everything out there. I know how everything out there
works. TreBert

I just beat your record! Do *I* get a Nobel?

I turned on a flashlight and put a sheet of paper 1/4' away from it,
thereby 'stopping' it. Aren't you proud of me, Bert?

Could you see the light reflection off the paper? Then you didn't
stop the light, your gracious theoretical astrophysicist who can't
even write an original paper but must steal the works of others.

Painius when a picture shows a bullet hitting a wine glass and just
touching the glass, not breaking it that action is fast photograpy the
bullet did not stop. I stopped the action at that point. It was not by

PFM has produced zero energy.

MSP does nothing

M&M doesn't even make enough money to pay a lousy water bill.

If I can understand (get) Bert's words, then surely a theoretical
astrophysicist would have no problem understanding. You don't
understand because you don't take the time to try to understand. That
makes you a religious Ko0kst0ne KoPp, and quite the lying dork.

Painius I speak a lot better than I type.My big problem is I'm
deaf, and MSP does not help. These low wits will add "and dumb"add I'm
old and "senile". Fact is I'm trying to help those that have dementia
as best I can. Those that show nothing but hate are big losers. TeBet

MSP is bad for human consumption. It made you deaf.

LOL Good one!

Do you deny this?

How? By making them look smart in comparison?

Honestly, Sam, don't you think that's asking a bit much?

After all, it *IS* Bert.

LOL! If you won't take the time to try to understand Bert, they you
won't take the time to try to understand me, Harlow. Why are you so
gayly afraid to try to understand Bert? Are his sentences too "gruff"

From the quantum mechanical perspective, all photons travel at c.

1. photons are emitted (by charged particles)
2. photons propagate at c
3. photons are absorbed (by charged particles)

That pretty much it Herb. Mirror electrons can absorb and re-emit
photons.

How do mirrors reflect photons?

> In a quantum-mechanical picture, light consists of photons, or packages of optical energy. The photons of the light reflected from a metal (or a dielectric mirror) are identical to the incident ones, apart from the changed propagation direction. The loss of light in the metal means that some fraction of the photons are lost, while the energy content of each reflected photon is fully preserved. Which of the photons are lost is a matter of chance; there is a certain probability for each photon to be absorbed. So if one illuminates a metal with a source of single photons, there will be complete reflection (and no heating of the metal) in most cases and complete absorption with associated heating (creation of so-called phonons in the metal) in some cases.
