Why would it be the same for the sun?
The Earth is so much closer to the Sun than the outer planets, that our
orbit approximates the position of the sun.
Remember, as it was taught to me, astrology does not assume that there are
emanations from these planets that affect us.
Rather that everything was put into motion a long time ago, and that as it
plays out with the planets, it plays out analogously with individuals.
Every day of the week has a "feel" to it. Every day of the week around the
world is associated with a planet.
If you can comprehend that, you can comprehend astrology.
As for the rabid skeptics, I can only say that you are the types that held
the keys to Galileo's prison. You are the idiots in the depths of a Dark Age
on Earth. Humanity could go so much further without bullying assholes like
you holding us back. You're of average intelligence and know nothing about
