Our attentive readers will immediately intuit why it was the good fate
of the U.S.A. that an Italian1i would finally calculate its true
ascendant and and national horoscope. The Serpens series clearly
juxtaposes the tail and head of the snake in the respective national
horoscopes. The head leads the tail.
Why was the national horoscope of the USA miscalculated? Our Masonic
forefathers never used a telescope. When Serpens rose over the eastern
skies in Philadelphia, they naively resorted to outdated ephemeris and
irrelevant ascendant tables, probably as inherited by the British
Masons, who never knew any astronomy proper. Surely Scorpius or
Sagittarius never rose at east in Philadelphia2.
The sole statement of Scorpius or Sagittarius rising at east in
Philadelphia will make an astronomer either laugh or think that you
were nuts; probably both. The sad event of the two to six zodiacal
constellations offset in your horoscopes is the product of progressive
decadence of astrology due to lack of any observation of the real
skies.
Charts proclaiming “Scorpio” or Sagittarius rising at Philadelphia
must be poor3 fiction. Childish imagery is immediately dispelled with
the help of proper observance, scanning skills as well as appropriate
study of the real skies. The subject, namely the horoscope of the USA,
at hand has been copiously documented over the years. Let it be noted
that a national horoscope ideally takes more than 1000 pages of
astronomic material, not just a single fancy circle with twelve spikes
as produced by any toy program. Issues like national security4 depend
on astronomic accuracy. The work has been done. And NASA helped.

1Despite rumors and conflicting gossip, it is immaterial whether ZIC
stands for Zodiacal Implementation Committee or has another or even
