I think Mercury in Gemini as the Final Dispositor might mean the big events
of the year will arise out of public communication and conspiring - like the
riots, which were largely orchestrated by Twittering and such (did you ever
see such a perfect Gemini name?). Someone I forget associates the 7th with
public streets and squares. Trine Nep Pisces, it could support compassion
among friends and neighbours (3rd) - the morning after the riots in some
places, for instance, a different lot of teenagers appeared and swept the
streets, a nice whimsical Neptunian touch! Mercury rules Desc & Sun,
Jupiter Asc & Moon, so maybe the sextile between them brings the two ends
together. Altogether Mercury's situation looks nice, so maybe we can expect
better things from it - if the Government don't go trying to cut off
websites or anything, and I don't see any indication of that, do you?
The long-standing T-square is in apt houses: Sat Lib 10th (government cuts;
harsh laws; our current Prime Minister is emphatically a Libran!) opp Ura
Ari (violent rebellion) squ Plu Cap (social upheaval, old grudges boiling
over, also perhaps "plutocrats"). But not much connected to the rest of the
chart, except that Pluto's rising.
Mars & Algol make quincunxes or semi-sextiles to Sun, Moon, Mercury and all
the angles. These aspects seem to mean something that's incompatible and
won't fit, which suits the riots. Although the violence and arson had
underlying social causes, it seemed to belong to an entirely different story
to the original protest. The protesters all seemed baffled to know where
the looters had come from. The only more "integrated" aspect is squ Nep -
it was clearly against local goodwill and vice versa. Quincunx conflicts
rarely just go away, but hopefully the other end will win next time!

Mercury in the seventh house and in Gemini would of course be social
media! And as single dispositor, it certainly has a great role in the
affairs.

Saturn in ten could possibly want to limit things, being strong in
Libra too, but not from Libra to Gemini, I don't think.
