I hope I am a bad predictor on this one and astrology does NOT fortell
the future.
I think it may hit a little bit earlier (Septmber 23) -- when Sun is
still at 0 Libra. More powerful point than 1 Libra. It is at Virgo 29
critical point right now.
Due to the over hot oceans it may be a Cat 5 on Houston if this chart
is correct. Any other thoughts, people?

Oh, I dunno Patrick. I nailed the destruction of the city of New
Orleans when everyone had said it had "dodged the bullet", so this
works for me. :)

Of course, we don't have much of a substandard levee system, thanks to being a
bit above sea level...but we'll see what blows where.

And now Mars' extended Rx period triggers this Jupiter/Saturn
conjunction once again.
"The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction of May 28, 2000, is the last Earth
conjunction.
It is dramatic, and alarming. Jupiter and Saturn are the only planets
in Earth and are squared by Uranus in Aquarius. Unexpected social
changes shatter every resource base. Venus, the dispositor of the
conjunction, the Sun, and Mars, all oppose Pluto, the asteroids and
Chiron from the information signs of Gemini/Sagittarius. Jupiter
disposes of the Sagittarius planets (and planetoids) and Mercury, which
is squared by the Moon in Aries disposes of the Gemini planets.
Pioneers discover information that dramatically alters world
perspective (Pluto). There will be great economic destructurization
which will
necessitate power decentralization. Our greatest difficulties will come
from governmental disarray and the final recognition that we have given
far to much power to those in authority. New aspects of the higher self
and mind will have to be put to use by each individual as the current
collision of the comet Shoemaker/Levy into Jupiter reflected as well as
Hale-Bopp.(please see my post
on Halley's and other Comets).
Our philosophical and religious beliefs will be shattered (Uranus
square Jupiter) and business will not be "as usual" (Uranus square
Saturn). The unsoundness of our values (Taurus) and economic structures
leads to destruction (Saturn square Uranus) through power struggles
and war (Sun/Mars opposition Pluto, Pluto opposing Sun/Mars midpoint.
The information/perspective age (Sagittarius/Gemini) is obviously
accelerating and creates a new arena for crime and enlightenment. The
trine of the Sun to Neptune in the Air element promises some marvelous
and exciting artistic and spiritual enlightenment and is the way out of
some difficult dilemmas. Issues must be resolved in this period because
the next 40 years look very dangerous."

Get out of Dodge! -- if you are in Houston.
Like I said, I think Houston will get the direct hit and the worst
damage based on the charts I ran. The further away from 0 Libra the Sun
is when it hits, the less damage, IMO. So lets hope for late Saturday
or Sunday and not late Friday.
Major wars are begin on 0 degrees -- especially on the Aries-Libra
polarity. The Iraq war started with Sun at 0 Aries.
I just feel so thankful to be 3-1/2 hours inland from my girlfriend
from high school who lives in Friendswood (an exclusive sub-division of
Houston). She built her house on a small mountain, based on the water
levels of the 1983 Cat 3 hurricane and flood, but that may not work
with this Cat 5 unfortunately.
We may get some high wind and water damage here, but I am hoping that
Austin Music Festival will not have to cancel. I was really looking
forward to hearing some good groups. But a very, very small issue
compared to what so many others are suffering through right now.
The grocery store was full of people with tons of food in their carts
here. One man in front of me had adopted a family of 30 from New
Orleans, and now he had 20 relatives coming to his house from the Gulf
Coast to stay in his house. So many people in Austin have relatives
descending on them for safety.

I will revist the New Orleans chart and this new hurricane, Rita,
shortly.
Ok. Here is the second hurrican chart and it does not look good for New
Orleans.
http://home.austin.rr.com/libralove/NOHurricane2.html
That Saturn is triggering the New Orleans Mars/Saturn MP by
inconjunction. I do not like the South Node on New Orlean's Saturn-Moon
either.
I think New Orleans will be hurt once again by Rita. I think Houston
will be badly damaged and the rain and wind will whack New Orleans
again. I am not too worried about Galveston and Corpus -- disaster is
NOT in the city chart for this event,IMO.
I hope the people in New Orleans do not have their guard down thinking
they will not be hit again so soon.
Regards -- LL
Because astrology is a symbolic language that describes past, present
and future events -- from the time continuum, events can be predicted
in advance. If you have an idea of what the event may be -- it is
especially easy.
In this case, all that is needed is the expected hurricane land fall
times and the city incorporation dates to predict where the hurricane
is headed. Really simple astrology really.
I should also look at Port Arthur and the US chart because it looks
like we are in for some very dire times ahead. This is worse than any
terrorist attack could do to us.
With Sadness -- LL
My moon is conj now in libra making me feel like I may be effected. I didn't
leave because they told us it was only a voluntary evac but that little
voice in my head keeps saying I should leave.
I may be losing power for a couple of days but i'll let you all know how is
goes.
thanks

Where are you located now? I do not have a reverse long/lat look up
program.
I do not see any dire transits in your chart. If the authorities say it
is Ok to stay, then stay.
The worse is T. Mercury on your Moon at 7 Libra being hit by quincunx
from Uranus. So it may make you momentarily "crazy" and a lot of
unexpected communcations and/or lightening strikes. Stay off a land
line phone and watch for downed electrical lines.
It may affect (transform) your work. Pluto opp your Venus 23 Gemini in
6th house.
My client who lost most everything in New Orleans had a very bad chart
for New Orleans and shes has had nothing but problems living there. I
suggested California would help a lot as soon as they fix what is left
of their house and oyster boat and sell them. She is ready to leave.
You can see why her birthplace New Orleans is a disaster zone for her
and relocation to CA or a time zone or 2 away would help a lot.

Well, landfall was between Sabine Pass and Johnson Bayou (in Louisiana), and
Port Arthur's refineries have come through with very little damage. The roll
of the dice can sometimes come back to bite you. ;-)

You might want to repair that crystal ball, considerng that landfall was in
Calcasieu Parish, and Houston for the most part got not much more than some
downed tree branches and scattered power outages. (No one ever said
predicting was easy. :-)
I was unable to get any more than an incorporation year for Beaumont,
so I did not run a chart -- it definitely got more than was expected
and Houston less.
No crystal ball used. I got the devastation of New Orleans while
everyone was saying it had "dodged the bullet" including the media.
No, it is not easy to predict, but I learned a lot from the 0 degree
issues and the Mars/Saturn trigger for a second hit on New Orleans
flooding. :)
I will now consider those two issues the most important and dire, and
all others much more secondary. This is how we all hone our skills,
IMO. Or maybe you are just posting here for laughs and don't believe
that astrology works and is a tool for describing events with enough
experience.
I did perfectly call the New Orleans devastation and the second
flooding. I put caveats on the others -- the only one I was off on was
the lack of damage in Houston.
2 for 3 for me! :D
