I want to make sure that you have heard that an auction house in
Pennsylvania [The Raab Collection] has for sale a tape of the Air Force
One transmissions on 11/22/63, which they claim contains 30 minutes of
previously unavailable air time.

The tape was owned by a General [Chester "Ted" Clifton, Jr.] , with close
ties to the Kennedy White House. He died; then his surviving spouse died.
That's when the auction house picked up the tape.

The auction house said they would make a digital copy and put it in the
National Archives, for the public to hear.

The 30 "missing minutes" may round out your inquiry into the Bethesda/
Walter Reed controversy.

Good Luck.

It's actually worse that that. The original tape, a copy of which was
given to Clifton, was 2 hours and 40 minutes long. The Johnson Library
edited it down to 30 minutes. This is what the government always does. And
yet the WC defenders keep claiming that nothing new ever comes out. And
then they turn around and claim that the newly released digitized version
of the Hughes film proves them right by showing Lee Harvey Oswald in the
sniper's nest.

They speak out of both sides of their mouths.
