"I asked {Tom} Hanks, when do you want this {10-hour mini-series} to
come out, and he said 2010. And I said, I'm glad you said 2010,
because if you'd have said 2008, I'd be worried. ... If he had said
2008, I would have known that he couldn't have done justice to it. But
he wants to make it something that's going to shake up America. And I
think it is." -- Vincent Bugliosi; July 23, 2007; Via Radio Interview

Addendum:
Here's another radio interview with Vince Bugliosi on Denver's KHOW,
with lots of discussion about potential "Mob involvement". This isn't
the typical interview with VB, as Vince comes up against a CTer (the
host, Peter Boyles) who desperately wants to implicate the Mob in
JFK's murder.....

Tall order.
Ice caps melting.
Iraq in a mess.
Deflation on horizon.
See any shaking?
PF
Don't see any lines of folks at the borders leaving. Maybe I need to
watch a triple shot of JFK, Farenheit 900, & Inconenient Truth to get my
mind in the right perspective.

Huh?
Why would folks line up at the borders?
It is Bugliosi, according to David VP, who wants to make something to
"shake up America." I simply noted some existing problems, global in
nature, and folks don't seem to be shaking in their boots. Did you
misunderstand my comment? Time moves on and the assassination is of
only passing concern to most Americans. Hardly the interest level in
this topic required to "shake up America," don't you think?

Right perspective for what?
To be shaken up by the mini-series?
PF
Why is that an LN book devoid of any new information is supposed to
'shake up' the country?
If CTs say anything, the loud voices talk about a 40+ year old case
with no new evidence
Is this series going to be a documentary or a drama?
There was no drama in RH
Maybe they just bought the rights to use the title and author's name

His point is that America is the greatest country in the world and
everyone wants to get into and no one wants to leave it. Take him to the
airport and show him all the retirees leaving for Costa Rica.

My, my, it looks like we have another "I hate America/I love America"
thread.
Tony, retirees leave for Costa Rica because labor is dirt cheap down
there, and the average American can live like royalty.

"But he wants to make it something that's going to shake up America." I
take VGs' comment in a relative manner. It's been stated many of time
that the majority of people think a conspiracy took place in the
assassination of JFK. From Hollywood's input we have Oliver Stone to
thank for spreading his style of the truth in regard to the assassination.
Along the same lines the movies Fahrenheit 911 & Inconvenient Truth, also
tend to teach a distorted or sensationalized version of history & truth.
I read into your response a certain cynicism into VG & THs' efforts in the
documentary. I apologize if I misunderstood your comment. I welcome a
more responsible approach by Hollywood in portraying the death of JFK &
other subject matter that they take upon themselves to portray to the
public.

Ya, silly really.
My point was completely different. As I wrote:
Huh?
Why would folks line up at the borders?

I have a pal or two that moved to Mexico for that very reason.
PF
Where did anyone say anything about I hate America or I love America.
Someone had the erroneous idea that no one ever leaves the US. I could
cite maybe 2 or 3 who have lived in exile for political reasons, but
retirees seem to be the largest group leaving for economic reasons.
I could also cite Jews who decided to live in Israel to join the fight.

That's the point.
