I see:
Vicki
Yolanda
Maria
Juanita
Califano
Cater
Moyers
De Bries
Rostow
Stegall
I cannot make out the other names.

I think 4 across 3 down may be O'Brien. 3 across 6 down may be
Hamilton, 3 across 3 down looks like Fleming. Just guessing.

I believe you are correct. My eyes deceived me. I will remove De Bries
from my list.

Not sure about that one.

Mr. Fokes,
You seem interested in Lyndon Johnson. Have you read Robert Caro's
biography?
Read Michael Beschloss and I'll bet you'll stop wondering who all the
people are on his console.

You are referring to his ongoing biography?
He is working on the final book.
Yes, I have often mentioned Caro on this newsgroup, and quoted him
extensively.

Holland does a better job than Beschloss, and corrects Beschloss on a
number of occasions.
You again jump to a conclusion without the facts, Brandon. You assumed
I had not read Beschloss. I have. I prefer Holland's analysis of the
taped conversations.
So, since you think that reading Beschloss would enable us to decipher
the names on the keyboard, feel free to list the other names here:
________
________
________
________
So far you haven't helped us at all even though you have apparently
READ Beschloss.

Then why don't you use some of the book to guide you in your curiosity
about Lyndon Johnson?

Is that right? How much is Holland paying you?

Touchy, touchy! Nope. Just a suggestion, and one that would include
you rereading him if you have already. That's all.
>I have. I prefer Holland's analysis of the

I didn't mean Beschloss's analysis. I meant the transcripts. The
conversations themselves.

Not interested, Mr. Fokes, am I on whose name is on Johnson's phone.

Well, I didn't say I had read Beschloss, now did I?
And since when do you (or you all) need my help, Mr. Fokes?

I have.
Again you make the mistake of thinking you know something that you
don't know. Here you assume I have not already used some of Caro's
book to satisfy some of my curiosity about LBJ, and then from such a
mistaken thought, you ask a question which is all about spin.

Now you revert to sarcasm because you apparently don't have anything
intelligent to say in response. What a glorious idea to have an LNer
paying me for praising his book! Lol. You take the cake, Brandon or Al
or whatever you wish to be known as.

Not at all. But your response is indicative of how sensitive you are
to criticism of your faulty thoughts.
>Nope. Just a suggestion, and one that would include
>you rereading him if you have already. That's all.
Again Brandon makes an assumption without knowing the facts. He does
this same thing regularly. He doesn't know whether or not I have
reread him, yet suggests I reread him. His real point, though, is to
imply I did not read Beschloss carefully enough the first time. Such
an implication is false and basically another effort by Brandon at
spin.

Now you are making less sense than ever. One need not read Beschloss
to read the transcripts.

But interested enough to reply to a thread all about LBJ's phone
console. Why? Could not resist the effort to spin once again, Brandon?
Or do you prefer Al? Or maybe Mr. Alexander?

>Well, I didn't say I had read Beschloss, now did I?
Nope. You are so busy telling other people what to read that perhaps,
you've left yourself little time to read!
>And since when do you (or you all) need my help, Mr. Fokes?
Again you base a question on a false thought, Brandon.
I thought you might like to help us; I did not imply or suggest we
needed your help.
