Hi All,

Some around here might recall, several years ago, when Judyth Baker
claimed to have been at the International Trade Mart in New Orleans
the day that Lee Harvey Oswald held an FPCC picket there, passing out
handbills.

This was a claim made in Baker's first, since disowned, book and her
verbatim comments were passed onto the board here during the debate
with corroborating detail, like the bulky TV cameras set up to record
the event, the participants, including Oswald, being dressed like Feds
etc etc.

Baker's claims were thoroughly debunked at the time, including by the
WDSU cameraman who actually DID record the event and Baker was forced
to change horses midstream, claiming to be first one lady in the film,
then another. Unfortunately for Baker both ladies had been identified
and NEITHER of them were named Judyth Baker.

You'd think, after such a comprehensive debunking, she'd give this
nonsense away, but according to this from her Facebook page she is
STILL claiming to have been present that day:

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3491148600326&set=o.348063875669&type=1&theater#!/photo.php?fbid=2811955539793&set=o.348063875669&type=1&permPage=1

You'd have to wonder at the gullibility of those members of the FB
page Vindication For Judyth Vary Baker and the fawning messages they
write to such a transparent and debunked hoaxer as Baker.

PS The title of my post should've read *Judyth Baker STILL Claiming To
Have Been @ Oswald's FPCC Trade Mart Demo !!!* but it looks like the
server truncated it on posting.

For those interested, here is the original thread from 2006 re this
matter:

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.assassination.jfk/browse_frm/thread/787387961c2a6f89/f7dff2603352766b?lnk=gst&q=LHO%27s+Leafletting+and+Judyth#f7dff2603352766b

Baker's claim to have been present basically unravels during the
course of the thread, but obviously you can't keep a good woman down!

And her Facebook supporters don't seem to be worried by inconvenient
little things like facts.

Hi .John,

One of Baker's latest adherents appears to be Paul S Wilson, an artist
who makes up Lee Harvey Oswald dolls and produces short videos of
them:

http://www.phoenixmag.com/lifestyle/things-to-do/201109/artist-paul-wilson/

You'd imagine this fellow must be having a BALL with Baker and her
nonsense. I mean, who, in the history of the world, would be CRAZY
enough to claim that they had had a wild affair with Lee Harvey Oswald
and then try to publicise it to everybody?

Who (direct family excepted) would be CRAZY enough to host a post
11.22.63 birthday party for Lee Harvey Oswald?:

This bloke Wilson is probably laughing up his sleeve @ Baker all the
way to the bank.

That Jim Fetzer sure can pick 'em!

Just goes to show a PhD don't count for too much...

I was disappointed, although not particularly surprised, to learn that
Barnum may never have said this after all. See for example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There's_a_sucker_born_every_minute
http://www.historybuff.com/library/refbarnum.html
http://alt-usage-english.org/excerpts/fxtheres.html

Of course, one thing Judyth and I agree on is that you can't believe
everything you read on the Internet.

Oh, my! Next you are going to tell me that Marie Antoinette never
said "let them eat cake."

I guess there is a sucker for a bogus quote born every minute.

And sometimes, that sucker gets elected President!

Hey, Tim ... an oldie but a goodie, and a demonstrative one. Never say
die, just put your head down and do run after run after run around
inconvenient facts that emerge. One would think that somewhere along
the line over all these years, having run these ridiculous tactics
over and over .... and to no avail, Judyth would have pondered the
merits of the old, "That's my story and I am sticking to it." :-)

I hear you on the vindication page ... especially the people you would
expect to be able to weigh and evaluate evidence and documentan. One
recently expressed elsewhere, and on a different subject, how
passionate they are about truth! Same person, who participated in a
long thread on the EF about Judyth a couple years ago and which
included example after example of claim vs documented fact, has more
recently referred to those who have not been slain in the spirit of
Judyth as "slime."

Go figure. This kind of thing gives all CTs a bad name, imo. It's no
small wonder that most mainstream CTs choose, more and more, not to
participate in newsgroups/forums much at all anymore.

Bests,
Barb :-)

Prove how much money he's making out of this. And then compare that to
the millions that Bugliosi is making from his WC propaganda.
