Hi All,
Say, continuing on with Lane's DISGRACEFUL handling of the WC shooting
tests, we find yet MORE *lying by omission* (and otherwise) by him on
this matter.
In fact, Lane's Chapter 9, entitled The Rifle Test, beginning on page
121, is a veritable TREASURE TROVE of dishonest writing and
mishandling of the facts.
One example among many; Lane keeps harping on about the quasi *fact*
that the three experts had an ENLARGED target to shoot at and this was
somehow giving them an ADVANTAGE Oswald never had:
QUOTE ON (from page 126 of RTJ):
The Commission concluded that the President was hit in the head and
neck, thereby defining the target area, but the three experts had a
considerably larger target simulating the upper portion of the body,
including the head and neck.
QUOTE OFF
and
QUOTE ON (from page 127 of RTJ):
Not one of them struck the enlarged head or neck on the target even
once,
QUOTE OFF
In fact the three shooters simply had a STANDARD head-and-shoulders
silhouettes target to shoot at as this excerpt from the testimony of
Mr Simmons, a man quoted at length by Lane in the chapter in question
demonstrates:

Oswald, looking out of the TSBD would ALSO have had a target view of
head and shoulders (JFK's), as demonstrated in well-known Secret
Service re-enactment photos.
Once again Lane has simply *lied by omission* in his book Rush To
Judgment. In fact, I think that that is a charitable assessment.

neck of the target EVEN ONCE.* (Emphasis added).

And yet here IS WC XVII 261-262, showing hits to the head...
