This concerns Oswald's Marine Corp ring, and the issue (for me) is whether
he wore it regularlyi AFTER his return from Russia, or just wore his
wedding ring.

Let's put aside the events of 11/22. Specifically, we know, from Marina
Oswald's testimony, that he left his wedding ring at home that day. We
know from Dallas Police reports that he was wearing a ring that day, and
that it was his Marine Corp ring. These are "the facts."

Here's my question: putting aside what ring he wore on 11/22 (and it would
appear to be the Marine Corp ring, NOT the wedding ring, which was found
in a decorative teacup at the Paine residence), let's go to the days,
weeks, and months before. My question: do we have evidence that he
regularly wore that ring--i.e., the Marine Corp ring -- as a matter of
habit in the period after he his June 1962 return from Russia?

Rest assured that I'm using Google, etc. for anything that is readily
publicly available via that route. (i.e., I've Googled "Oswald. . .Marine
ring" etc.)

Please point me to any evidence in the record or information you may know
of which addresses this matter: Did he regularly wear his Marine Corp ring
after his return from Russia??

Let me phrase this question slightly differently: we know (from Marina's
testimony, etc.) that he usually wore his wedding ring--that was his
habit, and that is in the record. BUT, with regard to the Marine Corp
ring, did he regularly wear that ring, too--i.e., was Oswald in the habit
of wearing TWO rings, on a day to day basis? Or just one ring?

Please help me out here, if you have insights or information. Please
respond as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

DSL

Mr. Lifton,

An anonymous poster to alt.conspiracy.jfk a number of years ago said
Oswald did not like jewelry but on a occasion wore two rings, his
wedding ring and ring with a red stone in it. He posted also that Marina
slipped both rings on Oswald's pinky finger at his burial. The poster
said Oswald mostly wore a bracelet that Marina gave him. I do not have
any knowledge myself that this information is correct. Although I might
have heard that the funeral home owner said something about those rings.

My speculation is that Oswald left his wedding ring at the Paines
because he didn't want to wear two rings and he was mad at Marina
anyway. I think he wanted to wear his Marine ring to impress the guy he
thought he was going to be doing business with after work.

Regards, Charles
