Is the Arlen Specter who is currently heavily involved in investigating
pro-sports scandals the same Arlen Specter of the Kennedy assassination
investigation? If so, he must be pushing 80! And who died making Arlen
Specter the czar of public investigations of every ilk?

Yes, it's the same man.  He is a U.S. senator, and as I recall, was a
candidate for president (Republican) in 2004 (?). - prw

You mention two investigations held almost 45 years apart as evidence
that he is "the czar of public investigations of every ilk".
